I hear that. For the right £ who knows...

What would your best case scenario be for us right now?

Best case scenario is a trade.

Realistic scenario we match Harris and grab a backup 4/5 like Jordan hill.

Honestly i would be happy with a back up PG & PF/C

Resign Tobias / let him sign the QO

Proper coaching and let's see what happens.

Certainly do not do anything for the sake of it.

First thing is that free agency is not highly important to most rebuilding teams. If you look around, the only teams who think the same way are failing miserably.

Its a real simple formula that I figure even the most clueless fan could grasp, but let's review it anyway.

1. Rebuild 3-5 years until team makes playoffs

2. Augment team in free agency (after making playoffs)

3. Contend for titles

Pretty simple stuff. Before Free Agency nobody expected the Magic to go after a guy as big as Millsap. Most fans considered it a pleasant surprise. Nobody really expect Paul to sign here, I know I did not. But the Magic went for it and it was a great idea. Why not try and hit a home run on day 1 before you focus on the more real options?

Of course we have the usual complainers who will complain anyway, even though free agency is not complete and the Magic are now focusing on guys they realistically expected to get.

The only teams doing well in free agency are playoff teams and are a year or two ahead of us in the rebuild. Do you see Minn or Phil signing anyone? No.

It really helps with the needless complaining if you actually understand how the league works.

minnesota has completely rebuilt their team in 1 calendar year, they got two high end no.1 picks, the magic do not have any players like wiggins or KAT. philly is building an asset base whereas the magic are not stockpiling picks at all.

the magic are also trying to get better next year, those other teams are not. the magic roster is a 30 win roster right now

How do you know they have rebuilt? We havent even seen this team play together yet. There is no possible way you can say anything except that have a very young team that will lose a lot and one day has the potential to be a great team.

How do you know the Magic roster is a 30 win roster right now? You don't. Too many coaching changes and young guys getting better make absolute statements foolish. Most people have this roster projected at 38 wins which is in line with what Skiles has done with teams i the past.

Do you truly think the Magic are foolish enough to think they were for sure going to get Millsap? No. They were optimistic, but reality is that Rob Hennigan had a plan B coming the entire time and we are going to see it unfold.

It's really hard to sign top tier free agents when your team is not in the playoffs yet. That's just the reality. It amazes me that people complain that Rob is not good at free agency. He has just really begun to have a team that can attract quality free agents.

Its very apparent that we have some people who believe in the players we have can become good and we also have some people who think all of our young guys wont develop and we are just going to suck until we move the team to a big market.....

Oh c'mon! Free agency is almost 48 hours old and we haven't signed Millsap, Aldridge, LeBron, Monroe, etc. We don't need to see how much Payton, Dipo, AG or anyone else might have improved in the offseason. It's time to opine about exactly how this team will look this upcoming season RIGHT NOW!! Uhhhh *sarcasm*

lol..yea I just don't know what people expected. The Magic even said this was not going to be a home run free agency for them this year, but they still took a swing. I respect that, it's just a year too early.

You can see progress being made in the summer league highlights. Gordon's corner 3 looks like it is improving and Payton is playing like a leader and is clearly bonding with Skiles as well.

We get some solid forecourt rim help and we will be fine. Plus, Mario is here. It's going to be fun to watch.

Vuc already has credibility around the league. If Dipo and/or Elf and/or AG show significant improvement this year and Mario looks anything like he does on tape and/or from the hype, the Magic will look a lot more appealing to next year's fee agents. I just want to see enough improvement to get me excited about being a Magic fan again.

Free agent center Robin Lopez discussing deal with Knicks that would earn him in range of $12M-$13M per season, league sources tell Yahoo.

Another serious consideration for Robin Lopez: The Lakers.
