Dude shot 18% from the 3 point line last year and 31% from the free throw line. I think we find a better use of a roster spot for next year but maybe I'm wrong. Anyone wanna take a stab at how the Skiles news affects the 5th overall pick? I know the GM obviously makes the pick but Skiles will definitely have a say. I think it makes me feel more comfortable we don't draft Porz. Just doesn't fit the mold of the rest of our team. I think Winslow and WCS are obvious picks with Mario right there too. No he's still an excellent player but over the last few months other prospects have surpassed him in my eyes. He's still a top 7-10 talent and has the ability to be the best player "regardless of position"out of this class. Maybe I'm speaking for everyone but Hezonja just brings more to the table for our team. He's an elite athlete which could translate to a defensive force and he's a much better shooter while already being able to hit the NBA three. He also has elite length for a SF. His ceiling is pretty high and he would make our defense ferocious. Weakness is finishing at the rim. I could see the Magic taking Mudiay at 5 and trading back for him. KRISH10 103 Report post Posted May 30, 2015 I don't know about you guys but I hope we take the best player available (Except for Mudiay) because if Skiles and the Organization really want to start moving towards getting in the playoffs this could be the last real top tier guy that we get for the near future and I would hate for us to waste it on trading out of the top 5 to get 2 good players when we could have gotten a great one at 5. He is not a good passer and doesn't finish well at the rim. I personally liked him. he is bigger than Winslow and I think his shooting will translate better but there are prospects with bigger upside. Mario, Winslow, and wsc shot up my board. Johnson is a better 3-point shooter and could initially thrive as a “three-and-D” specialist. In eventuality, he could be a more offensively minded Tayshaun Prince, and that is exactly what the Magic need from their small forward. At the absolute best, he could be a legend like Scottie Pippen, one of the best two-way forwards in NBA lore.
