Houston wanted Gasol and was part of the historic Stern rejected 3 way deal if my memory serves right. I think Kobe made it clear that Gasol was not being traded. He never liked Bynum anyways. We are looking to get younger, get rid of our garbage, and start over. Sometimes, it's not always about talent-for-talent.
