Captain Hi-Top 791 Report post Posted December 31, 2010 Battie was average the last time he was here. Doubt he's improved. Dwight Sr. knows what he's talking about. We need fire and toughness. Unless Sheed has made massive improvements from last season as far as conditioning and his knees, the only fire and toughness he would provide would be from the sidelines as a coach. I would love to see him here working with Dwight though. Sheed from two years ago, hell yeah. I mean, maybe his knees are doing better with the time off, and he is still in decent shape? If that's the case, then it might be worth it, but an out of shape, unmotivated Sheed (looking for a paycheck) can't be a better option than a below average, in shape Battie, can he?
Progfrog 18 Report post Posted December 31, 2010 Old. Bad knees. Likely to be out of shape. Bad attitude. Chucker. And people are getting excited at the idea of this washed up wanker being in a Magic uni? The idea of the Magic getting Varejao was bothersome, but at least he had a real up side.
ThisIsTheYear 241 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 I bet he's still a fantastic post defender. I'd welcome it if we had no better choice.

Franchero MVP 391 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 I can't say it would be good for both of our centers to keep racking up technicals throughout the season. 1

ApexTurbo 6 Report post Posted January 2, 2011 Why are we assuming he would be in shape like J-Will was??? Perhaps the time off was good for him. Personally I doubt it.

KillingInTheNameOf 63 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 Sheed didn't retire a FA, C's wanted him back, & they wouldn't do Orlando any favors. Landing CP3 seems far more realistic to me...
