ESPN - Dwight to OKC Summer 2012 Article

Recommended Posts

LeBron James' splash in South Beach has created a ripple effect around the league.

Just 48 hours after James' decision on Thursday night, Chris Paul allegedly hinted he could join Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire in New York one day, according to the New York Post. "We'll form our own Big 3," Paul reportedly said at Anthony's wedding in the Big Apple.

Sure, it could have been merely a throwaway comment to get a few laughs with LeBron in attendance. But a year ago, a trio of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh was nothing more than a comical basketball fantasy, too.

It got us thinking: Would that hypothetical Big Three in New York be the best trio to combat the Miami one?

Hopefully im right in sayin that Dwight to me... is a Tim Duncan... and will stay here in Orlando..

Oregon

Never knew that...

So we have Florida and Oregon...

Which looking at the line above... seems to me that Florida and Oregon dont belong in the same sentence....

So scratch out Oregon... No Beaches, No Cap, No Dwight..

This scenario is completely possible but I wouldn't expect to see it in 2012. With the new CBA still not agreed upon and a lockout imminent. There's been a lot of discussion about how salaries will be going down. Depending on how these meetings end, it may be more beneficial for Paul and Howard to wait until 2013 since it might be turning into a pay decrease.
