deadman54 7 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 wow that was more of a general statement and stan just doing a comparision while supporting the leagues progress. the refs are truely untouchable the league needs to tell the media then to stop asking questions about officating! its seams to be a joke that you have to talk to them and then they trap you to get fined especally after a game when emotions are still high. Svanxx 30 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 This is one of the most garbage fines of all time. The NBA replacement refs have sucked. He didn't even come to saying it that bluntly.

J-Pat Attack! 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 Larry Brown was fined less and he refused to leave the court after being ejected. Proof ESPN works for Stern.

That's a terrific point, the NBA really should ban all direct media questions about officiating, to the players, and it goes double to the coaches (since the coaches MUST speak to the media directly after every game). Tough Break There 96 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 Think the league is a little defensive about the bull**** refs they're going to try and heap on us this year? The NBA will continue to have issues as long as it fails to develop competent refs. Handing out ridiculous fines and denying the problem has been Stern's way. At this point, only a new commish will get anything done, and one doesn't seem likely any time soon. Stan should have at least gotten his money's worth BTW. DWHITE9 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 i was out at summer league this past year and the refs are there for a reason they are terrible. in addition to making bad calls they just arent in control. theyll also do whatever stern says to keep their new unearned jobs, congrats lebron you have more help. on a side note, working at summer league, anytime stern was seen or discussed i heard nothing but insulting comments about him from team officials, no one respects him
