Williams Impressive is he an option for the Magic?

Recommended Posts

This is what was said after Williams worked out, though it turned out the Knicks are going a different way for their backup pg.

"Jason Williams was impressive in his Tuesday workout with the Knicks.

Williams is expected to begin talking to other teams once the Knicks lose their exclusive negotiating rights, with the Memphis Grizzlies among the teams interested.

One person came away from Williams' workout Tuesday saying he "looked good" and that he was in great shape."

So does Williams become that vet option for the Magic?

Plus he lives in the Orlando area and he does have playoff experience which the Magic really need at the pg slot.

If you checkout the Newsday article that this came from you will see that the Knicks are still more interested in Sessions and that is the reason for not offering Williams a contract as being reported by Newsday.

I like J-Will, but he's not what the Magic need. Even in his prime he was a huge defensive liability & that was a long time ago.

The Magic could do worse, but they need to do a lot better. If they upgraded the backup position & lost AJ in the process, I think he'd at least be worth considering for the #3 spot.

But what if we get to that point like when training camp opens and still no 3rd pg do the Magic keep what they have or do they sign a vet or a developing played to the vet's min yes like Sun.

It's pronounced "soon", but that's racist.

We started last season with only Nelson and AJ, why don't you think we wouldn't do the same thing again if the right piece doesn't present itself?

Otis will not sign a third point guard simply to have a third point guard on the roster.
