miami will be good but the magic will be better. i look for a number of the young players on the magic to play much better this year. i hope we will all be surprised by the play of gortat, ryan, bass, jj, and yes howard. he could have an mvp year if the magic make the finals and i think they will!!!!!!!!!

i like the idea of lewis at the three however i want to see how ryan looks before we decide on the four spot. i also like pietrus at sg to start. what worries me with this lineup is nelson thinking he will be the primary scorer with gortat and peachese starting.

i think we can match up with miami and beat thim. however the key will be defensive rotations to stop penetration on wade and lebron. some would not agree but i would put lewis on bron. his size will put a lot of pressure on him if he keeps him in form getting to the rim.

i believe you could say that jj has become a tough guy who provides leadership by actions. by taking charges, going to the rim against anyone with no fear, etc. he is also a better passer, scorer, and team defender. for me that is a more balanced team and player. but does it matter, not really because clee is gone.

jj's value has to do with the overall magic organization. not just basketball. however you have to ask yourself is the team more balanced with jj on the floor. in my mind the answer is yes.

i know things are slow but jj/clee debate is old news. we can not change the past. you have to look at tomorrows value overall to the magic. it is clear jj wins hands down.

let me help you out guys. rams is correct. one, otis will not trade nelson. two, no one wants vc. three, no one wants oak,s contract. so, take two asprin, go to bed, and tomorrow the magic will still be a strong contender for a championship.

i agree with the last part. i think jj has set the bar high. if you want to play and improve on the defensive side, get stronger, then you can play. the nba is very tough and defense is big part of making it on a championship team.

i think the magic are going in a different direction. lewis to the sf and ra or bass at pf depending on match ups. with vc at sg and jj as his back up. then you will see vc at sf, lewis at pf, and jj at sg, with duhon. the team will have a lot of options. i do not think qr will play that much with pietrus around.

i really do not see this happening, but if it did i would start gil at pg with jj at sg. would be more ballanced on defense with lewis at sf, a better pf, and howard. nelson would be great coming of the bench. jj and nelson will be a nightmare for howard on defense. offense as will suffer as well because of nelson's poor passing decisions.

i hope this does not become a jj this or jj that debate. i think we have beat that to death. be happy we have a hard working smart player on the team. will he start or not will not be decided on this board. i think he and nelson to gether will be rough. a lot of zone and help defense will have to work. i think it will depend on vc and where pietrus ends up. i also think lewis will be the sf and a surprise will be at pf. i am excited to see how it unfolds.

we can all blame someone, and i personally never cared for carter, but the main reason the magic struggle when they are behind in close games is the game plan. they do not have one. they lost in the playoffs because they depend on nelson to make it happen. they need to have better control with smarter play if they expect to win it all. thats svg job.
