From the clutches of pure evil (Nets fans...and well, that entire organization)! Having spent a full year on message boards for both the Magic and the Nets, I'd like to say thanks to everyone on here for not being complete and total d-bags to every player on the team. The Nets fans are ridiculous. At any rate, here's my thinking... Otis never wanted to give up C. Lee in the first place and Lee is hopefully not dumb enough to re-up with the Nets after this season and becomes a FA. Orlando sends a package of Nelson, VC, Ryan Anderson and maybe Reddick or picks to New Orleans for CP3 and whatever else makes the salaries work. Orlando then either pulls a trade to get Lee back (Gortat?) or has Howard (his good buddy) ensure Lee becomes a FA and signs with Orlando next year. Orlando's lineup: PG - CP3 SG - Reddick/Lee SF - Pietrus PF - Lewis C - Howard Sixth Man - Reddick/Lee Balanced lineup with obvious studs at Point and Center, with shooters and defenders all around...screw off Miami! P.S. - Who the heck does Miami think is gonna cover Howard? Magloire? HAHAHA

i posted something similar to this on the wku hoops board for our c lee thread. the timing could work out beautifully for both sides if both sides want to reunite. the nets picked up his option which means he's there for the next 2 years. by then VC will be 35-36 and lee will be a FA with 2 years of having more of an offensive role under his belt. we resign lee, he learns from VC for a year or so splitting time with him and by the time VC's gone, both lee and howard would be roughly 29 or 30 and in their athletic primes. could be a perfect fit and perfect timing.

hahaha i find this thread funny. almost all of the magic starter's and SVG's pictures have Courtney Lee in them, yet Courtney's picture for the Nets is of Battie, not Courtney. anyhow, good to see/talk with yall again. I called it from day one - Magic winnin' it all this year, just wish Lee was still a part of it and not getting underappreciated in sucktown. I'm betting Lee has a terrible night. he went 2-11 in the opener (solid otherwise with 4 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks i think), but he's coming off a terrible shooting night and is out to prove a point. could be a long night for Lee and an even longer night for the nets. Just wanted to take a second and say thanks to everyone that posts here. Somehow this includes PEC, MacMan, etc that I've argued with before haha. I've only found one Nets forum (to follow Lee) that's even halfway decent and the posters there (for the most part) are idiots. I get that they suck and have for awhile, but it's sad how inactive the board is as well as all the bashing they do on management, ownership, players, etc. They're still bashing on Lee for being unhappy about being traded when no one wanted to notice the quote was from DH saying he was still down (they're friends, of course he's gonna tell DH and he wouldn't tell DH he was happy he got traded anyway), and the quotes from Lee were from his initial trade interview when he was still in shock. At any rate, just wanted to say a thank you to everyone for having an active, entertaining, interesting board that - for all of our differences in opinion - everyone is a true Magic Fan.

kind of off subject for the OP, but cleveland STILL has ZERO chance of beating us in a 7 game series. they didn't do crap to get better! shaq could easily be hurt by the playoffs, and can't handle a pick-and-roll anyways. once again it'll be the 4th quarter let's watch lebron show outta cleveland. yeah hedo caused matchup problems, but all we have to do to cause a similar problem is run a lineup of meer, pietrus, carter, shard, and dwight. same problem that hedo created - 2 sf's who can move and knock down shots on the floor with carter and shard. let pietrus play the 2 and guard lebron - series over again. boston is the only threat to another Finals appearance.

some of ya'll need to get over this shaq hatred already. i didn't see anything in that quote that bashed on Orlando. he stated that he thought courtney was gonna be a star, that was it. everyone talks about Lee being traded as "just part of the business", what do you think shaq was doing when he left? playing the business. it happens, its been YEARS, let it go already...at least to the point where you don't take anything out of his mouth as a shot at our team! i love how some of you are now flipping from Lee could be an all-star land to well, he was the 4th or 5th option so it was easy for him land. i've seen him play since he hit the floor at wku where he was the go-to-guy for at least his junior and senior year and finished tied as the school's all-time leading scorer...he can handle his own - pressure or not.

a whole lot can happen in 5 years. that said, i'm with those hoping he'll be back in 2-3 years (coincidentally when carter's option kicks in and Lee is a FA) making us "pay" that way. i think he's gonna average 15-20ppg next year as the 2nd or at worst 3rd option. he shoots over 80% from the free throw stripe and one thing he hadn't quite learned yet is how to draw contact when he drove the lane. once he does that he'll get to the stripe more and get points that way as well. he'll never be an all-star. this is coming from a Lee homer and someone that's tracked his entire career since his freshmen year here at WKU. it won't be cuz of lack of talent or effort, it'll be cuz his name ain't wade, lebron etc and the fact that he plays SG where most of the "stars" play. he can easily average 15+, 4 boards and 2 steals a game if he wants to. i'd take that back to the magic in a couple years any day. for now, it's a win at all costs moment for the magic. if they don't get a bench they can forget it. the celts have maybe 2 years left in the tank with their vets but thats also when VC is 34 and under option. if the celts sign sheed and stay healthy it could be like the days of old the next couple years and be LA Boston back to back. just bein real here. you have to like our team, but at the moment we have zero bench and we got a bit older in the process.

They still may be looking to move Rip and/or Tayshaun. Pistons will still be active. That said, these two going to the Pistons is nothing for us. Carter's big enough to bother the crap outta Gordon and Shard can take V. They can't run Rip at the 3 and he certainly won't wanna come off the bench and neither will Gordon. Gordon could maybe run the point but I don't see it happening with Stuckey in town. Our only concerns right now should be finding a bench and keeping it reasonably priced.

pargo would be an excellent backup pg. he's freakishly athletic and the comments about him seem spot on. i'll never forget him t-bagging our center when wku played gonzaga a couple of years ago. dude has SERIOUS hops.

this thread is a joke. i go to wku, have tons of friends at wku, and i never once even heard a rumor of this. this thread should be deleted.
