Here is what some other 3pt specialists make around the league;

Jason Kapono: $6,212,960

Kyle Korver: $5,155,115

Sasha Vujacic: $5,000,000

Matt Carroll: $4,700,000

Daniel Gibson: $4,088,500

Eddie House: $2,862,000

Brent Barry: $2,062,800

Daequan Cook: $1,362,120

Steve Novak: $1,030,180

Most likely though Redick won't see much floor time unless he has had made drastic strides in expanding his game, preferably towards improved ball handling and court vision. Carter and Pietrus will most likely eat up all the SG minutes for the next 2-3 years.

JJ doesn't fill a niche for us though. We don't need a sharpshooter in a line-up featuring the best shooting point guard and power forward the game has to offer. We need a skill set that JJ isn't and won't ever be able to provide. This is, of course, assuming that JJ is a better shooter than our other options. Nothing Redick has done in the NBA shows any evidence that he is even an average shooter in the big leagues, much less a specialist

I'm still waiting for somebody to tell me how a career 41% shooter (NCAA & NBA combined), whos best shooting season ever was 44% during his senior year at Duke, can be perceived as a great shooter, or can regain a shot, that accoridng to the stats, he never had and therefore never lost.

All of those players listed are better at it as well. And they are all better all around players. With the exception of Barry, who is pretty much burnt out.

Well I wish JJ well on his next team. I still feel that if JJ was given 20+mpg on the right team he would be a solid role player for them. We just dont need him here. I really thought that we shouldve drafted Millsap over Redick anyways cause we needed a PF that year and we went for the best ranked player on the board. Dont know how Millsap slipped to the 2nd round. But we shouldve never drafted JJ.

2. I wont have to see anymore JJ Reddick threads.

I am blind-sided by the quality of your posts when it comes to Redick. BLIND-SIDED I SAY!

/sarcasm

I dont really hate JJ, I hate his fans. Most of them are blind. They just dont see that he is a below average player at best, well at least on this team.

I really think if JJ is given an opportunity he will be in the talks with Kapono or Korver as top shooters/role players in the game. He just need a team that actually wouldnt mind playing him for 20mpg. He could easily be a 9-12ppg player just off shooting 3s alone.

i watched almost every game that jj played his last year at duke. he took so many incredible shots with defenders all over him. to shoot 44% was something to see. now in the nba he has had to change because it is surely a different game. only a few become stars. his shooting has not been up to his standards and it may never be. i do believe he will find a spot to play with some team this year just not the magic. i also think most of his fans are not "fanatic, clueless, know nothing about basketball, etc.". so those of you who continue to do so, get over it. for the most part i enjoy this board but please respect everyone's opinion. thanks. jacklj

When you have an opinion worthy of respect, people tend to respect your opinion. Not before.

There seems to be confusion amongst people with really stupid opinions. I respect your right to have an opinion. I don't have to respect your opinion.

For instance, jack l j, I respect your right to think wearing a toilet seat on your head as a hat is a fashionable choice. But I have zero respect for the merits of that opinion, since you look ****ing ridiculous.
