HW Article: "Magic Shopping for a Guard"

Magic Shopping For A Guard: The Orlando Magic are shopping for a point guard. If last night's drubbing by the New Orleans Hornets and Chris Paul was any indication the Magic need a guard in the worst way. Magic coach Stan Van Gundy told reporters last night after the game that he and Magic GM Otis Smith were on the same page regarding roster needs and that Otis was talking to a number of teams. Van Gundy would not discuss which players could be headed out, but did caution that any deal the Magic made today would not likely be a splashy move, saying that his core players now, would be his core tomorrow, adding that any player brought in would likely be a support player and that making a radical change was unlikely. Van Gundy said any deal done before the deadline would need to line up with the team's off-season plans to re-sign Hedo Turkoglu. Magic sources however countered that while the company line was no "massive" changes, that if the right point guard surfaced today the Magic might be willing to move some of the previously "untouchables"

PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN!!!...Don't let this great season go down the tubes.

I mean really, how can Otis and company even think of trying to finish the season with what we have???

If this happens Steve Kyler I'll kiss you, Ha-Ha!!@!@

Trade J.J. Redick...he may actually benefit from a move to a team that fits him better...J.J. doesn't fit on this team...makes no sense giving that guy 20-30 minutes a game for 2-4 shots...IMO.

nah, you just really dislike the kid...I'm not on the JJ bandwagon per se, but I don't want him traded, I like what he brings...

Amirite guyz?

LOL

I know you are kidding but Miller would be the perfect target because his contract expires after this season so you are not adding signifigant long term payroll. Im sure other teams have better pieces but he would be more than sufficient to say the least.

Dude, everybody on the planet knows this except for the homers on this board...I actually think he could be a decent player...but not on this team...he'll always be 3rd string.
