    GameThread Hawks @ Magic 4/13/12

We got this, Baby's playing the best of his career, duhons out and Ish in his place. Its an improvement in the backcourt, but of course Howard will be missed. We need him to get healty for the playoffs! I know this is a battle for 5th place but I'd rather play the pacers than the celtics in the 1st round anyday. Either way I hate to lose so lets hope they win. Cant let a Horford-less Hawks sweep us
  2. I thought he did yoga? I saw him in a T-Mobile commercial with Barkely a few years ago doing yoga. He looked like he does it frequently. Is there any truth to this? If so yoga really helps with back spasms. Hurts at 1st but gets the job done

Will D. Howard compete at a high level??? re: Playoffs

Idk if Howard will give up. I mean he gave it his all last Saturday against Philly despite being in the most pain hes felt since being a pro. That sounds like someone who wants to try to me.
  4. Thats not true Clark played horrible and got ejected with less than a minute left. Although most players played well and it was hands down the best game of the year, Ish had a big part in the W last night. Harper played good too! It just shows the favoritism that Stan has when he makes comments like that. How can Ish not get more minutes with stats like his? I know hes not a scorer but we dont need him to be. The guy could be the next Rondo if he played to his full potential and if given a chance. Last night he had both. If Ish doesnt get more minutes after this game it just exhibits the stubborness of Van Gundy.

Stan Van Gundy: I want to return as Orlando Magic coach in 2012-13

Damn they blackout games even if you buy league pass? Thats good to know Im about to move outta state and I need to get something to watch the magic for next year. Dont know what Im gonna do. Im not wasting all that money to not see my team. I dont even watch any other NBA games besides the Magic
  6. Because if we lose our gamble and Dwight leaves, we get nobody! Think that ones pretty obvious. How does gambling until the trade deadline of next year help anything? Also did you forget Shaq? Do you really think it will be smart to do this again and let a center of dwights caliber walk? Not a good business move for the franchise to let a once in a generation center to walk twice in our short history. Thats why before the trade deadline Magic fans weren't begging for Dwight to stay like Cavs fans with Lebron or Nuggets fans with Carmelo I know most of the Magic fans are either NY bandwagon fans or new fans since 2008, but were not gonna react the same way that most franchise's fan bases do. If the Magic let Dwight leave with nothing in return they will lose a lot of their fan base and the front office is not that dumb to let that happen at least they shouldnt be. The franchise deciding to take a gamble on him this year was a good idea, but dwight would have been outta here if he didnt opt in. I would love for Dwight to finish his career here, but I dont want to gamble on him and take the risk of this team sucking the next 7 years because we took a stupid gamble and let him walk for nothing.
  7. How old are most people on this board 16? I just joined a few weeks ago to exchange serious ideas and most of the people on this board argue with each other. Y'all need to get a life and get a girl or something. God damn! And if you dont think Ilyasova would be a good pick up your retarded. Only problem is his commitment to the NBA.

    Haywood Punch?

Sign Greg Oden as a backup C hes good for twenty games or so.
  9. harveycoolbreeze352

    Goran Dragic

All on board for Dragic would be a good combo guard for us. Gets better with more minutes and is real young. Lets bring him to Orlando.
  10. Really Ray Allen? Maybe for the minimum. Johnson has been one of the most consistent SG's for the past 7 years. His contract sucks and we definatley shouldnt take him if we have other options. But the guy does produce, and him teaming up with dwight, that would not be a bad pick up. Why is everyone so picky on who we get? If they play up to their contract (and Johnson does, guys an all-star if ya didnt remember) who cares who we get as long as it makes diwght happy and he stays for the long term. Everyone is set on the free agent market at the end of the 2013 season. Do you really think we are gonna gamble on Dwight by waiting for his decision at the end of the season and take the chance that he may walk? No way! That means that were going all in this offseason. Were gonna have to shed massive salary space and probably move our few decent players that means no more Ryan, JJ, and possibly no Jameer. We'll most likely look to move J-rich and Hedo for what its worth, but it will be hard. Johnson and maybe Josh Smith are probably our best bet maybe even Crawford, but I dont see him as much of an upgrade. People need to stop hanging onto this Chris Paul/ Deron Williams dream. Its not gonna happen. Look for us to take on a bloated contract for a consistent scorer like Johnsons we need to make some move to keep dwight.

    Coach Nate McMillan

This one made me laugh. Obama answered the big question of the past quarter century, if your half black, your black. So yes Doc Rivers is an African-American coach who has won an NBA championship. And who cares if Nate is black, that doesnt affect the success of our team. It may be better for player relations which is clearly what we need, I'm black and in my experience young black men respond better to an authoratative figure of someone of their own race. Not all the time, but it certainly helps. I love SVG, but he reminds me of my dad. Someone who *****es all the time makes people not wanna listen. The players tune him out because it seems nothing is ever good enough to please Van Gundy. He's got a great gameplan and runs great plays, but his coaching in game situations is the worst. He sticks with his game plan and doesnt take in variables with each game, such as keeping the starters in even though some of our bench players are carrying us. All that aside I would love Adelman as a coach for us or Rivers. There were rumors last summer that Rivers may replace SVG. Lets face it the Celtics are going no where for at least five years. It would make sense for Rivers to return to Orlando, his family still lives here so it makes sense for him to wanna come home. Not too crazy about Nate though. IDK I have alot of mixed emotions. I love SVG and its hard for me to see another coach at this point. Hes the best coach we have ever had.

Video: Knicks fan teases Glen Davis with food at the foul line

Fans used to do that to Shaq all the time
  13. I don't think so, but why would we? It wouldn't be smart to pick up Johnson who makes $20 million a year. He doesnt play up to his paycheck, never produces in the playoffs. Now I dont know what Smith's contract is, but I know he wants out of ATL, maybe we can grab him, but not both. Plus no one wants to take on Johnsons contract anyway, but I must say for the past five years he has been pretty consistent, it could be worth the gamble, but we can't afford to make one at this point and we shouldn't. The franchise and fan base doesnt want another Rashard.

All of you "we should have kept Hedo people"

Your right its a team game, and its not Hedos fault that we lost last night. Its just his fault for most of our loses.
