If you've worked on it all day then I don't mind this one being it, although I think we should merge them with mine being at the top Thanks Osprey! And you are correct, I didn't sign up for it. But since this game was a back-to-back and no one signed up for it (also with it close to the time of the game), I thought I would prepare one as a back up. Again, thanks.

They may get a slight reprieve in their next contest. The Magic visit the slumping Detroit Pistons on Sunday as they look to secure Stan Van Gundy a spot on the All-Star bench to coach the East. Orlando (31-16) moved ahead of Atlanta to claim the Southeast Division lead following a 104-86 home victory over the Hawks on Saturday. The Magic, who had defeated the conference-leading Celtics on Thursday, shot 54.2 percent and held Atlanta to 39.5-percent shooting from the field. Dwight Howard finished with 31 points, 19 rebounds and three blocked shots, helping the Magic exceed 100 points for the first time in three games. "I wasn't concerned about numbers (Saturday)," Howard said. "We just wanted to play aggressively at both ends. We're trying to be more aggressive and for the most part, we did that." Another key to Orlando's fifth win in six games was J.J. Redick, who had a career-best seven assists to go along with eight points. Orlando had 20 assists to 11 turnovers after finishing with eight assists and 16 turnovers against Boston. While the Magic have now won five straight at home, they've struggled on the road, losing 10 of 13. They also have only one win in their last 11 visits to Detroit and have been held below 95 points while dropping their last three games there. With a win, not only would Orlando snap its losing streak at the Palace of Auburn Hills, but Van Gundy would also be named coach of the Eastern Conference All-Stars. Although the Pistons (15-30) and Magic split a pair of matchups in November, Detroit has fallen apart since, dropping 18 of its last 22. The Pistons have dropped four straight entering this contest, including a dreadful performance in a 92-65 home loss to Miami on Friday. They were outrebounded 52-25 and totaled 25 points over the second and third quarters. "We obviously can't stand pat with this kind of performance -- there will have to be some changes somewhere," Detroit coach John Kuester said. "We have to find a way to get 48 minutes of energy out of this team." Ben Gordon played for the 26th time this season and first time in nine games, finishing with 10 points in 13 minutes. He had been sidelined with a groin injury. The Pistons had hoped Gordon's return could help ignite the offense, but they continued to struggle. Richard Hamilton shot 4 of 14 for eight points and Rodney Stuckey, who came in averaging 19.3 points in his previous six games, scored a season-low four. Hamilton missed both games against the Magic in November because of a sprained right ankle, but he averaged 30.0 points and 10.0 assists in two games against them last season. Even with Hamilton, Detroit could have difficulty scoring against the Magic, who have held their last seven opponents to 93.4 points per game.

Thanks Rich DeVos. I thought I would lighten things up, and have a little fun with the guys. For the record, I found the picture of Dwight earlier this week on the Orlando Magic Home Page. (See center photo - Page 1) He is autographing his 2009-2010 All-Star jersey as part of contest sponsored by the Orlando Magic Organization. Anyone can sign up to win the autographed jersey. I ran across Mo Evans' photo while searching for pictures of the Hawks' lineups. I thought I would give him equal time.

Authorities say West was carrying two loaded handguns, a loaded shotgun and an 8 1/2 -inch Bowie knife while riding a three-wheel motorcycle on the Capital Beltway in Maryland in September. Police say he was pulled over after cutting off an officer. He is charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, carrying a handgun, transporting a handgun, reckless driving and negligent driving. The charges are all misdemeanors. Each weapons count carries a penalty of up to three years in prison. Court officials changed the trial date on Thursday. Both sides agreed to the change. With his four All-Stars -- Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis and Jameer Nelson -- struggling to play well together, Van Gundy hinted Saturday that one of them may be playing in reserve soon. And Carter is the most likely one. "We have been quite a bit better this season when we've had at least one of those four guys out," Van Gundy said Saturday. "We just have not been very good with them together -- not nearly as good as we've played the rest of the games. I don't know if that's something where we need to get some more complementary players in there with them." The Magic have won just five of the 10 games that all four started together, which has prompted the possible change-of-lineup discussions. They played the first 10 games of the season without Lewis (suspension). They played 16 without Nelson (knee). And they played Saturday without Carter. They are 20-7 in those games. It took the absence of Carter -- out with a bruised left shoulder -- to help the Magic snap a four-game losing streak. They beat the Hawks 113-81 Saturday. "(A lineup switch) is something you may have to look at, what some of the other guys bring a little bit better in terms of balance, guys who don't need plays called for them," Van Gundy said. "Part of it is guys in their roles and how they play. Instead of four guys who see themselves as scorers, you would get three and a couple guys who do other things." The Magic return to action Tuesday, opening a four-game West Coast swing in Sacramento. Carter is questionable for that game, but he should return at some point during the trip. His role is the question. Carter is mired in one of the worst shooting slumps of his career. He has made just 11 of his last 49 shots, and he has failed to reach double figures in the last four. He was hurt in the second quarter in Friday night's loss. MAGIC 113, HAWKS 81: The Magic snapped a four-game losing streak Saturday night, riding one of their best performances of the season. They shot 52.4 percent. They outrebounded the Hawks 45-35. They had eight players score in double figures, topped by Matt Barnes with 18 points. They led 66-37 at halftime and coasted through the final two periods. The victory allowed the Magic to retain first place in the Southeast Division. ***************************** Links for Watching/Listening to Game RADIO: http://www.nba.com/broadband/alp_schedule.html http://580wdbo.com/ Spanish Radio: AM 1030 WONQ BROADBAND: http://www.atdhe.net/index.html http://www.justin.tv/directory?category=sports http://www.channelsurfing.net/ STATS (Updated throughout the game): http://sports.yahoo.com/nba http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/scoreboard Other Links www.nba.com www.orlandomagic.com www.espn.com www.cnnsi.com www.nbcsports.com www.cbssportsline.com ***************************** *Prediction: Subway Sub of the Game ___ QUOTES TO NOTE *See MAGIC TEAM REPORT above* quote: Magic coach Stan Van Gundy has been contemplating some serious lineup changes. What position do we suck at the most?
TrueMagicFan07 replied to SmackDaddy's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Nowadays, I actually go. . .oh no. . .when Rashard comes back in the game. I cringe when he shoots the ball. I like how Anderson is rebounding and driving for lay ups. I know he has his off nights, but with time he will get better. Last night, I loved how he mixed it up and did not throw up a a ton of uncontested 3 point shots. He did not mind banging under the boards for rebounds. -

Chase, stop it now, because if Vince had been laughing, some posters on this board would say that they didn't think he was hurt. And that he faked the injury or pretend to be in pain so that he would not have to play tonight. Think about it, if Vince is in pain, he wouldn't be jumping about anyway. -

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but JJ played the entire 1st quarter and is still in the game starting the 2nd quarter. Go JJ!!! -
It is so frustrating watching Jameer walking the ball up the court then slowing the ball down in half court.
-
Jameer needs to sit down!!!! We were playing well until Stan sent Dwight and Jameer back in.
