Offseason Thread part VI: Return of the Lockout
BMP replied to Fultz4thewin's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Lewis was the team's best help defender (excluding Dwight of course) by a pretty wide margin. -
Brooks Thompson, this is brilliant. . . hopefully you're doing all the thing's I think you're doing on purpose.
-
I don't mind Rose, except when he's getting MVP awards and regarded as a top POINT guard.
-
Out of all of the players in the league, am I really supposed to be excited that Rajon Rondo could become a free agent?
-
So a person can't be mad at everyone involved? The thread title itself is Joe Paterno fired. I'm sure if you created a thread in regards to the others people would feel the same way or worse about them.
-
It's not irrelevant, and you did a good job showing me you don't understand it because you continue to compare the not reporting rape to killing when you should be comparing the amount of media attention they would give LeBron vs. his random friend. And that's also highly subjective. Knowing and allowing children to get raped can be viewed as almost as bad as murder to many. I wonder how many of those kids are dead inside. I'm really not sure why people are so mad someone as popular as JoePa is getting all this heat. He should be getting more. Sure, what he did wasn't as as bad as actually raping the kids but that guy is getting a much worse punishment and no one is trying to say it WAS worse, people are just talking more about Joe because he was the face of that school. It's not hard to understand. Oh, and yes, he is a monster. He along with the rest of the people involved. They're all terrible human beings and people trying to sympathize him with & others make me feel sick. The man chose his football program over saving the lives of little kids. Even if legally he didn't do anything wrong, he's still an excuse for a man and has no morals.
-
The comparison was in terms of media attention, not crime committed. Was that really hard to understand? Either way, he's a piece of **** human being and I hope he continues to get blasted. Also hope all these people protesting flipping cars because of him get prostate cancer.
-
***** Joe and everybody who tries to excuse his behavior/lack of human decency. Who cares that others might not be getting as much heat as Joe? He deserves a lot more than what he's getting right now, and the only reason the media's on him is because. . . well, because it's him. If LeBron James and a friend of his kill a guy, do you think the media's going to spend most (if any) of their time talking about LeBron's friend?

ESPN and Truehoop rank Dwight Howard #2 best player
BMP replied to Berto's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
It's not like he lacks said "closing skills", unless we're forgetting what he did to the Bulls. I wouldn't call him the best offensive closer in the game but he has shown to be able to take over games and he has always been consistently good defensively. Hell, defense alone is a reason why I could never put KD/Dirk above LeBron. Kobe. . . was worse than LeBron against Dallas in every way and at this point in his career shouldn't even be mentioned (unless he gets new knees). Also, you can't overvalue clutch performances too much anyways. What's the difference between a player going 6-18 for the first 38 minutes of the game but then hitting 4 baskets in a row and still losing by 1 vs. a guy going 10-18 for the first 38 minutes and then missing the next 4 and losing by 1? Who's the better player in that scenario? The guy who had a great game but couldn't capitalize during the time defenses try their hardest or the guy who was partially responsible for the team being down but almost miraculously "won the game" for them? -
Fans Should Show NBA They Want BBall Back By Boycotting Bball (Schmitz)

I've tried boycotting Schmitz and the O-Sen but they always seem to sneak up on me. . . -

ESPN and Truehoop rank Dwight Howard #2 best player
BMP replied to Berto's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Where the hell were all of these Kobe intangibles when they got swept? He was terrible and guarded by 45 year old Jason Kidd. He could have 140 rings, it doesn't matter though because we're talking about now, not what he did last year or the year before. Kobe's done and having him in the top 5 players today is just silly. What did he do last year to warrant him any more props than LeBron/Durant/Howard/Wade/Dirk? Hell, ZBo was a better player than Kobe. -
didn't see it baby tits

I can totally understand why Dwight would leave, and wouldn't fault him for it. With that said, he has been acting like a giant douche in the last few months, saying how much he loves the city and blahblahblah but at the same time taking subtle (or not-so-subtle) jabs at everything Magic related, deflecting blame, and pretending to be a victim. I'd respect him more if he just left and said he did it because the team sucked rather than playing everyone like a cheap politician. he could still re-sign depending on a miracle from management, but it wouldn't really change my feelings towards him.
