Brian Skinnner(Suns) for Redick? (Sentinel)

The Magic might have a shot at getting someone like reserve power forward Brian Skinner of Phoenix, which recently acquired O'Neal.

The Suns are looking for another guard, which the Magic have in Redick.

Also available are veteran power forwards Kurt Thomas or Chris Wilcox of Seattle, a team that wants to rebuild with younger players.

Minnesota has made available veteran Mark Madsen, a defensive-minded power forward who isn't playing in their youth movement. Miami power forward Udonis Haslem might be expendable if the Heat continue with a salary-cap purge.

Please tell me that Otis not wanting to trade J.J. isn't holding up these deals?

Anyone that knows anything about Brian Skinner I'm all ears. How much does he make and who would we have to give up to contractually make it work.

The links I've read say that Chris Wilcox is not on the block.

Well, back when Gabe was the GM, I think, we almost signed brian Skinner for the MLE.

I wouldn't mind Skinner here, but I definitely think we could land more for a guy like JJ. His shooting is certainly more than enough, IMO, to land us more than a hustle guy.

I hate these types of articles. There is no weight what-so-ever on these trade rumors. Basically Povtak is just throwing names out. Typical staff writer trying to play GM.

He sees that Shaq is now on the Suns, so that MUST mean that Skinner is available. He does a quick check to see what his contract looks like and boom, it's a good idea!

Brian Skinner is not what this team needs. I've always looked at him as a poor man's Foyle. Shot blocker and rebounding specialist, but without the bang and hustle that this team needs.

Skinner would be low risk, as his $1.1 million dollar contract is in its final year. But to give up JJ for him would be incredibly stupid given the rumors of higher calibur players that are available for JJ.

That's exactley what I thought when I read the thread title.

No offense to Skinner but I think he is a below-average PF and he is far from being a starter... especially on a team that's trying to make a deep playoff-run.

I'm fine with trading Redick if we acquire someone like Haslem, Wilcox or Thomas. But I rather keep JJ than trading for Skinner or Madsen.

I really think we are going to end up with Kurt Thomas, which isnt too bad until you start really thinking about it. Seattle got Kurt for only a second round pick... OUR second round pick that we used for the S&T to sign Shard to his crazy contract. Im sure he is the cheapest PF that can be had, which is why I think we will end up with him. I am quite curious to see who we end up with

zIf we dont end up trading JJ it is ridiculous, we are only hurting him right here, because if he sdoesnt get an oppotunity to play soon he is gonna be out ofg this league real soon.
