The "Bench Jameer" Thread.

Recommended Posts

I was at the game tonight and watched the team fall behind when Jameer played and come back each time Dooling played. Near the end of the game with Orlando finally ahead by 6 Brian called time and brought Jameer back in. To no surprise, Jameer continued to struggle as he did the entire game and Minnesota went on to win in overtime.

The Carlos supporters have killed us with their numerous complaints about not treating Jameer the same as Carlos and that Carlos is the better point guard etc..... I must tell you that Carlos in last few outings looks much better than Jameer and deserves playing time.

If it walks and talks like a duck, it must be a duck. Brian you are guilty. I rule in favor of the Carlos supporters and say play Carlos - case closed!!

Leave Carlos on the bench and trade him as soon as posible to a team that might have a need for a PG. AS far as Jammer goes, He is your STARTING POINT GUARD and Guess What? He will continue being your STARTING PG at least for one more year. GO JAMEER!!!

That is not working.

Top 5 reasons to STILL give Jameer major minutes:

1. Jameer is Dwight's best friend (even though Dwight gets only 5 FGA while Jameer gets 14!)

2. Brian gets hypnotized by Jameer's smile (no matter he does it while losing to a bottom-feeding team!)

3. Travis is escorted out of the court by security guards every time he tries to enter the Amway Arena to put on his uniform (Jameer has been seen using his cellphone to dial 911 in each occasion!)

4. Carlos looks way too comfortable in the bench (Jameer promised Los a Lazyboy recliner and a portable 5" TV if Carlos doesn't complain or request more playtime!)

5. Jameer promised Pat he would pay for a romantic, candlelight dinner for Brian and Pat at Red Lobster (Pat is always seen during practice, whispering in Brian's ear sweet nothings that only both of them [and Jameer] know!)

OK, I've been late getting on this bandwagon but this is ridiculous. Jameer is killing us. This is the last thing I would have expected after the Boston massacre.

In the first quarter he gets called for a foul Dwight actually commited. SO HE ARGUES THE CALL AND SURE ENOUGHT, THE REFS CHANGE IT AND CALL DWIGHT FOR THE FOUL. Now Dwight has two fouls on his way to 3 and missing the rest of the first half.

Inspired by JJ's heroics, Jameer does one of his "I'll hold it 'till the last second and then I'll shoot my wonderfull three pointer" to end the third quarter.

I was starting to believe Brian Hill had actually grown some balls because he didn't play Jameer in the fourth quarter. That is, until it was time for a last minute shot.

I thought to myself, Jameer and Brian know how he stunk it up so bad in the Boston game, so I'm sure they diagramed a play for another player to have the last shot. NO, Jameer's the man once again. He doesn't play the fourth quarter, the guys that play do their job. But in the end Jameer has to be the man.

HE'S NOT THE MAN. HE SUCKS.

I'm so pissed.

Good point on the foul in the first quarter - it was another great example of Jameer's delusional self-importance.

When Carlos was playing horrible earlier this year, he was benched. An adjustment was made. I think it's time to make another adjustment only this time it is Jameer who should be benched. Give Carlos or Travis a chance please!!

As much as I like Nelson, this year he (together with Hedo)is our "weakest link" and some adjustments must be made soon, but probably won't be before the summer. If we get new SG in the summer, Nelson will probably be given another/final chance. It should be an exciting summer for Otis and the Magic.
