Say what you will about the job that Orlando GM Otis Smith has done this season, but give him credit for at least being brutally honest about the wildly inconsistent nature of the Magic.

 

Smith is highly frustrated at the cavalier nature of his basketball team and its inability to build on any momentum whatsoever. To recap, the Magic have lost to Charlotte, beat Utah, lost to Sacramento, defeated Miami and lost to a crippled Toronto team Wednesday night.

 

Next up is New Jersey, one of the teams Orlando is fighting to get into the playoffs. As Smith pointed out Thursday, who knows which team will show up. After all, Orlando hasn't won consecutive games in seven weeks.
