Sir Buttermilk 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2007 I think the Heat's major selling point to prospective free agents is that Miami has the highest average temperature in the NBA. No cold weather is easier on the arthritis, so that's why all of the golden oldies want to play there.

I wasn't aware that missing 22 out of 82 games was considered most of them. So a proven wing scorer won't help a team that desperately needed scoring and struggled on the offense? At least we both agree on one thing, we both can't wait for the season to start.
LilPenny3000 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2007 This P.Thandi guy is cool, LilPenny must acknowledge. Yes all the haters will be watching Penny's comback and dunk on Jameer, then get twice as many assists in half the minutes.
Mr Charisma 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2007 quote: Originally posted by LilPenny3000:if you say so Mark.. After Shaq left and Penny wasn't himself anymore cause of injuries, the Magic would still sell out most games. That's not surprising. Penny was the only player Jordan himself said he would see carrying his torch.. or something like that. When McGrady played there was always a whole bunch of red seats everywhere. That's because season ticket commitments had already been made. Similar thing happened in Chicago when Jordan left, except that the Bulls were more devious. The Bulls forced their season ticket owners to commit for multiple years, so when Jordan left, they still had sell-outs for several years. Once the commitments finally expired, they had trouble drawing crowds because they were LOSERS. When McGrady played here, the team still didn't win much, which supports Marc's argument that the sell-outs were about winning, not about individual self-proclaimed superstars. Like myself.... Orl Native 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2007 Penny and Shaq, Wow. several things are bound to happen in Miami now. 1. Penny starts crying in practice because Shaq and Wade wont pass him the ball. 2. Starts a team revolt against Pat Riley 3. Claims the Herald is unjustly not giving him the press he deserves. 4. And of course goes down with a phantom injury no one can diagnose or verify. 5. Then goes down with a leg injury of some kind for good to become a locker room mascot. Not the good kind. 6. Finally gets released before the end of the season only to dish dirt on the team and coaching staff to the media on his way out. Although I will say this, he was right about Brian Hill, how long before Jersey starts walking the ball up. Hopefully Kidd wont be ruined by BHills fasinating offensive schemes.
