A lot of guys in the media take a long time to move their predraft boards in meaningful ways. I expect most are waiting to see how players hold up when they move into conference play. For example Dariq Whitehead, coming off an injury, has had a putrid season so far but he's only fallen from 9 to 16 since June despite not really looking like a 1st round pick so far. (Some of this is using more than just a small sample size of this college season and including years of HS and FIBA scouting which hurts Hendricks given he's a 4 star recruit who didn't play in the big all star games or go to FIBA)
CTMagicUK 1,488 Report post Posted December 19, 2022 Man I don't know if he's going lotto but I love watching Terquavion Smith. Gives Bones Hyland vibes who I was high on in college too. Super fun shooter, deep range and off the dribble. Quick with the ball can really get into the paint. Concerns about his finishing in the paint (he's improved as a sophomore considerably but still unsure how that translates in the NBA), his defense and his weirdly low FT% though.
CTMagicUK 1,488 Report post Posted December 19, 2022 Trayce Jackson-Davis had 9 blocks against Kansas recently (in admittedly a blow out loss) to further my agenda of picking him early 2nd.

CTMagicUK 1,488 Report post Posted December 21, 2022 I think Gradey might be top 10 for me.
CTMagicUK 1,488 Report post Posted December 21, 2022 More Gradey Dick propaganda: https://www.si.com/nba/draft/newsfeed/just-how-valuable-can-gradey-dicks-shooting-be-kansas Seriously though imagine all the open looks Gradey Dick could get on our team playing with Franz, Paolo, Fultz, WCJ. Or better yet look at all the open looks we're currently missing he could be there making. And imagine how much more space Franz and Paolo could have to operate if he we had a guy shooting 10 3s a game and hitting 40+% of them. I'm almost never a guy who advocates picking guys who are just shooters (or any guys who only consistently flash 1 skill) lotto. I was lower than most on Nesmith and Kispert to name two shooters off the top of my head. But 6'7+ 19 year olds who shoot at this volume and efficiency with this type of varied shot diet are pretty few and far between. When the skill is this elite its worth betting on. Add to that he at least seems smart defensively and isn't undersized meaning he has a chance to hold up in playoff basketball.

A Better DJ & Photographer 461 Report post Posted December 23, 2022 Almost every run on Tankathon I've done we get Ausar Thompson SG/SF | Overtime Elite at 6 or 7. Subject to change based in piling on wins and draft luck.

A Better DJ & Photographer 461 Report post Posted December 23, 2022 It would be excellent to get both Thompson twins. They are slated to go around 3 & 7.
Albert Lergier 99 Report post Posted December 23, 2022 2023 NBA Mock Draft 4.0: After Victor Wembanyama and Scoot Henderson, some movement in the lottery Krysten Peek Fri, December 23, 2022 at 12:04 PM EST LAS VEGAS — The top two spots are likely to stay the same leading up to the 2023 NBA draft, with 7-foot-4 French center Victor Wembanyama as the favored No. 1 pick and G League Ignite point guard Scoot Henderson taking the No. 2 slot. Where it starts to get interesting is at No. 3 with a handful of options. Alabama's Brandon Miller is one of the best shooting wings in college hoops. Overtime Elite's Amen Thompson and Arkansas' Nick Smith Jr. are two of the best guards in the country. Villanova's Cam Whitmore has returned from a preseason thumb injury and is settling in well heading into conference play. He has been high on NBA draft boards since the summer. There will be plenty of movement throughout the college season and into the draft on June 22. Here's the latest look at the 2023 NBA draft and Yahoo Sports' projections for the first round.
