Now that Hayward is back and Smart is re-signed, Rozier is the obvious target. He’s barely getting playing time.

The issue is nothing is easily attainable from Ainge.

The only way we’re trsding for a star is by trading probably Issac or Bamba which no one ever wants to do. But that’s what it would take and multiple picks. All for what could be a rental situation. Again I’m not against a move like that. I think we have to at some point as an organization take a calculated risk and hope it pays off.

Im just sick of watching certain guys on this team. It’s just tiring at this point.

I think we all just want some sort of change one way or the other.

I don’t think so. Sure if you’re talking about Lebron but I don’t think you have to give up those two just for a star. I mean what did we get for Dwight?

Personally I don’t care about the picks. I mean if Zion comes out and he blossoms this year sure but outside of the top 3, it’s whatever to me.

Totally agree on the last sentence.

The problem is it kind of makes more sense for them to just keep him and let him walk. He might have more value as a championship or bust Kyrie insurance.

They don't need anything. They have three, maybe four first rounders in this draft. They only have 4 open roster spots as things currently stand next year. Another 2019 pick isn't valuable to them.

They have 8 guys who all should be finishing games for them.

Their only hole is PF but that's not really a hole because it leaves then space to play brown, Hayward, and Tatum at the same time.

They have no bad contracts to move in a Rozier deal.

Rozier only makes a bit over 3 million so you're limited to 5.4 million as maximum returning salary to Boston.

I just don't see a Rozier trade that exists involving the magic.

It'd have to be something like Ben Simmons demanding a trade to Boston and we jump in as the third team.

Rozier is the way to go but as an FA, not trade

We didn't get much for Dwight because he had a list of teams and burned the franchise to the ground.

We still got Afflalo, the 16th pick of the previous draft (vucevic). The 15th pick in the 2012 draft (rights to Harkless), a 2014 lottery pick, the 2018 #28 pick, and what ended up being 4 second round picks.

It's going to take a ton to get a Star unless we're talking about Butler

Can you imagine how butler would feel playing with Vuch and Fournier after he was upset over the effort Wiggins and Towns play with lol

I think a Butler trade would include vucevic and Fournier so I'm not worried about that.

But yeah

For what it's worth, considering the wizards keep sucking, and if they'd do something like vucevic, Fournier, Augustin and our 2018 pick for wall and mahinmi the long term math on that deal isn't exactly horrible.

You'd have to hope wall-Ross-Isaac-Gordon-Bamba plus the 9 million MLE would be enough to build a good top 6 but his contract wouldn't kill us until 2022
