That is what most teams are giving them like Jovic, $150 million is better than $220 million

the total is based on years played and if you a plays has made an all-star game, all teams or defensive team. you get more based on different things. He is not a max player yet, sorry. I know we may need to play him, but he has not made it yet. I like him, but he is truly crazy if he thinks he has really done enough to be a max player. Most of that money is based on projection not achievement.

Can someone of Gordon's experience make that much? I thought max salary depended on how many years the player has been in the NBA.

it does but the cap has grown and so have the salaries.

The max we could possibly offer him is  5/146.5. the most another team could offer him is 4 years 108.56
