I do not know why Magic is interested in Grant since Magic drafted 2 forwards

Frazier is a 2/3 and Jackson is a 3/4 but Jackson isn't to be relied upon this year

Per source, the #Bulls, #Pacers and #Magic -- as well as the #Thunder -- are the current contenders for #OKC FA Jerami Grant. All four are in the mix for the 24-year-old PF. Grant averaged 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting a career-high 53.5 percent in 20.3 min.

I don’t know much about him but statistically, isn’t he kind of duplication of talent? Mario at least gives us something different. Not sure we need a back up shooting under 30% from three that doesn’t give us different looks.

Mario isn't staying.

It's at least a plan b if he does leave

Or it's something else...

There has been mild discontent for years within the Magic about Gordon's unwillingness to accept a smaller role on offense, and his ambitions of being a ball-dominant star. But Gordon could develop into a Swiss Army knife-style secondary star. This would be a worthwhile play for the Pacers. If their offer sheet lands at about $20 million, I'd bet on the Magic to match, but it's not a bet I'd feel super-confident about.

He's worth more than 20. Oladipo got 21 before he even played a game for okc.

Lowry is making 33. Millsap and Conley are making 30.5. Porter and jrue are making 26. Drummond and Adams are making 25. Batum Barnes and Parsons are in the 24 range. Gallinari Aldridge and Gary Harris are making 21. Ryan Anderson teague and George Hill are making 19-20.

So Gordon should probably get 23-24.

I could stomach 23-24 mil but 30 mil would be a bit much for his production at this point.

Just because other teams gave players some bad contracts does not mean we need to throw one out there, but if the market says one things, we need to match.  We dont have the talent to let people walk.

Yup and Vogel but he's outta here. I wonder if Weltman and Hammond feel that way.
