I commend your faith. He's played his natural position his whole career except for about 40 games this last season. You are overestimating the 'natural position' angle.

After the Ibaka trade he averaged 16/6 post allstar break. He's steadily improved every season he's been in the league. If he can ever get his 3pt. in the 35% then he'll be golden.

Nice, Mack's second year is only 1 million guaranteed.

Thats the best news I have received in a few days. Where did you got this info?

The point of the question was to determine if that would be a 'make or break' outcome for him. It's odd to me that a point guard would show definitive growth year over year for 3 years and be relegated to make or break status in year four. It would seem to set up the premise that there are unrealistic expectations for the development of a point guard.

The problem is neither his shot nor his defense have improved

The Nuggets have parted ways with Mike Miller, announcing today that the veteran guard has been waived from the roster (Twitter link). Miller’s salary for 2017/18 would reportedly have become fully guaranteed if he remained under contract beyond Wednesday.

Miller, 37, appeared in just 20 games for the Nuggets last year in his second season with the club. The veteran sharpshooter played a career-low 7.6 minutes per game, averaging just 1.4 PPG and 1.9 RPG. During his very limited playing time, Miller still exhibited an ability to shoot from outside, making 40% of his three-pointers.

Not sure Miller has anything left in the tank, but we could use a shooter off the bench.

Post all star break Gordon is what we should expect. Slightly improved is the hope. Don't think he will ever be a volume scorer or an all star. Isaac has the game and tools to be that, if developed properly. But it looks like he is atleast 2 years and 25 pounds away from be a go to guy.

His true shooting has gone from .456 to .478 to .520. FT has gone up all 3 years. 3pt did improve from Season 1 to 2 but then dipped in more attempts last year (much better post ASB).

There is a pattern of him getting better offensively, just not as drastically as we have wanted.

Have to be really careful about drawing too many conclusions from this post all-star break stuff. Not only is it a relatively small sample size, but probably about half the games are played at a point in the season where neither team cares about the outcome (or even worse is actually trying to lose).
