Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted July 5, 2016 What does our cap situation look like right now? hard to say without knowing what Biyombo's first year looks like. maybe have a few million. maybe not. but we're approaching luxury tax territory so I doubt we're taking on anything else besides minimum contracts. Props to management for going out to spend this year.
gAmE.oVeR 4 Report post Posted July 5, 2016 Wasn't sure if we had enough to maybe bring back Jason Smith
Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted July 5, 2016 we should be at something like 91 million with a 94.1 million cap but in reality we're at about 101 million with a 113 luxury tax.
Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted July 5, 2016 right now we have $83,469,383 in salary on the books (add $1million if we cut Watson instead of dump his contract) based on early estimates that I can find online. so we have about $26.5 million in cap space for next year based on a 110 million cap. a Westbrook max would cost $31,099,320 ish. so we need to drop about $5 million before free agency next summer. A Better DJ & Photographer 460 Report post Posted July 5, 2016 I really hope we can keep Smith, he made a lot of clutch shots for us last season.
Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted July 5, 2016 Durant now westbrook. Y'all are funny. not as crazy as you'd think. Everyone could offer Durant. only about a dozen teams are in the running for Westbrook. Sacramento, New York, Denver, Utah, Atlanta, Boston, Minnesota, phoenix, Brooklyn, Chicago, philly. and this is based on teams not adding any other free agent money now. you could cut down half of those teams based on performance or weather. so if we're 1/6 that's about a 16% chance of getting him.
