Yeah, the magic tend to make feel good moves. None have really blown up thus far which is surprising.

So maybe they're using nepotism on the right people.

Not blown up, not produce high results either.

@OrlandoMagic RH on rest of season: "I think we're right in striking distance for a playoff spot."

RH on backcourt: "We feel like Elfrid and Brandon fit very well together."

RH on trade's impact: "Hopefully it will help stabilize us in these close games a little bit."

RH on minutes: "We feel like like additional minutes for Mario, Evan and Aaron Gordon help our team both this season and long term."

RH On the need for a shuffle... "We can all see it... we're right there. We just have a hard time closing these games out" -- Rob Hennigan

"We're trying to win. Losing is not acceptable. Its not acceptable to the organization" -- Rob Hennigan

They're also veterans who fill positions of need. The fact that they formerly played for Skiles, and that it bugs you, doesn't negate that.

No but it does verify nepotism to some degree which hasn't actually produce.

Doesn't make us worse or better for the remainder of the season, essentially 2 bench players that can slot into Skiles schemes fairly quickly, it does however, give us much more options this summer. Whether we can make the most of that is where the questions will lie this off season and decide if this trade was the right thing to do.

It's evident the magic would have let Harris walk had Millsap signed in the summer. And we have CJ as insurance if Jennings is cut at the end of the year. Little disappointed we couldn't wrangle a 2nd round pick out of it but meh, this trade won't really have a meaningful impact until the off season.

On more deals -- "We'll see. Maybe. Maybe not. I think we have to continue to be open to ideas. It's hard to say right now" -- Rob Hennigan

"We were also able to open up some flexibility this summer... It sets up a few different ways we can play this." -- Rob Hennigan
