2014 Summer Trade Proposal Thread

Recommended Posts

Well....Afflalo's stock has blown up at the wrong time.

Yup. I think it was a market problem. Afflalo was only in high demand for winning teams. Those teams only had so much to offer and either required us to take back a bad contract or lacked a suitable draft pick.

Rob probably made a mistake not dealing afflalo at the trade deadline when everyone and their mother wasn't trying to assemble a trade package for love or dump salary for lebron.

Statistically seen, he's way better than D12.

i'd say the pacers were majorly better as a team 100%

but as indivduals i'd take howard personally.

Thus was true during the first 6 weeks of last season when Dwight looked like he was declining and Hibbert was playing like mutombo with 60 blocks in 16 games.

Since then, not so much.

Did anyone see OPP's article regarding the trade we almost pulled off for AA in Harrison Barnes? AA = Harrison Barnes + 1st round pick. What do you guys think of that deal in comparison to what we got?

Link

It was AA + 1st round pick for Harrison Barnes not the other way around.

EDIT: And it was/is just a rumor as far as I know.

would anybody take marcus thornton for a year at 8 mill for a future first? (or some other asset from cleveland)

Yes, but not Jarrett Jack.

We can just waive Thornton

Considering we already have 4 shooting guards, I wouldn't be up for it. Id rather get Jack to help stabilize the PG rotation. I know his contract is longer but he'd fit right in, without worry. He also wouldn't be hard to move again, if we had to clear his salary next summer.

Yes I would. The Magic need scoring and Thorton would help there.
