Pretty sure I never said we should start Isaiah. He would come off the bench here too and play in 3 guard lineups. And the Kings are an idiot organization given that they brought in Darren Collision to replace Isaiah even though he's worse at just about everything. My problem is passing on players who are very good that can be had relatively cheap (Isaiah Thomas' basically has Kyrie Irving's production at a fraction of the cost, he had 7.7 winshares on a tanking team as well, that is insane.) and instead doing moves like giving Ben Gordon 4.5 million dollars when he should be on a minimum deal. For a team like ours that is in desperate need of good offensive talent, I think he would've been great.

The problem with signing IT is that he would take away minutes from Payton. Thomas has managed to beat off two, perhaps three threats to the starting PG position in Sacramento. If he comes here to Orlando he won't accept being the backup, and with Payton needing time to develop, Thomas will likely end up starting. Now maybe that would be a good thing, but I would rather start Payton in the backcourt with Oladipo, and let them develop as a duo because they have the potential to be the future of this team. They can be elite on defense, and should only get better on offense. Thomas is a chucker and a defensive liability, that will never change. I do agree that Gordon's deal on paper is a too much, but it offers us flexibility to end the deal after one season, and Thomas would help us offensively. But unlike Gordon, Thomas will be more likely to start and take minutes away from Payton, and I'd rather see Payton get more minutes.

As for the Kings, they have been poorly run for a while and continue to make some questionable decisions. However, the idea behind Collison is that he is more of a pass first point guard, and can bring a decent level of defense. They are really lacking on defense and have enough liabilities to mean they will be happy to take a slight hit on PPG in favor of better defense from their PG.

Finally a reasonable FA signing. I wonder why we weren't in on Morrow.

1:08pm: The deal is for three years in slight excess of $10MM, tweets Shams Charania of RealGM. The final year is a team option, per David Aldridge of NBA.com (via Twitter).

12:33pm: Anthony Morrow has agreed to join the Thunder, tweets Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman. The shooting specialist had received interest from the Clippers, Heat, Wizards, Raptors, Suns, Wizards, Pistons, and Pelicans in addition to Oklahoma City and other unnamed teams.

Morrow opted out of the final, $1.1MM year of his contract with New Orleans this summer. The terms of the deal are still unknown, but I would guess the contract to be significantly more lucrative considering the amount of interest the 28-year-old was drawing. The shooting guard could be in play to start for the Thunder, who let starting shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha walk following a disappointing 2013/14 campaign. Morrow has only started 129 games over the course of his six-year career.

Because we'd have had to pay a lot more than that to get him. Hes a good signing for Thunder though.

How is Gasol a good fit in Chicago? This signing confuses me.

He can play either PF or C and matched next to Noah would be a pretty nice front court.

Upgrade over Boozer IMO.

I agree because if Noah is in foul trouble Pau can slide over to C. Better cheaper option than boozer

M-Will? Marvin Williams?

Edit: I see he just signed with the Hornets for 2-years 14 million. Fully guaranteed, no options.
