2013 - 2014 Regular Season Thread

As much I want to believe this I simply can't. This FO knows how to keep quiet about things like this. It would only hurt our chances of trading him.

Yeah the FO has things tight lipped I would say because of all the drama with Dwight... learn from the past. But we really should have got some picks from a contender would have been nice

Here's how it works: there's only 4 or 5 teams who are contender types that may use someone like Glen. Probably not a league secret that we were willing to buy him out (6 Million over yet another season of him tossing computers at B-grade downtown motels, and generally setting a ****ty example for a bunch of 20-year olds).

Teams sit tight, not really needing/wanting his 15-foot jumpers for cost of taking on the salary of this year and next, even for zero trade chips.

This happens.

Guys, nobody wanted to give up an asset of any kind to get a player of Big Baby's caliber on a bad contract. In fact, to get anything in return for him WE would have needed to sweeten the deal. The Wiz had to throw in a 2nd round pick to get somebody to TAKE Eric Maynor off their hands, and he makes 1/3 of the money Davis does.

Think of it this way -- the way we feel about Big Baby (i.e., please get him as far away from our team as possible) is the exact same way other teams feel about him. GMs were not going to line up to give away assets for the guy.

Spencer Hawes fetched 2 second round picks and he isn't much better than Davis. He's obviously fat, but an attitude problem? he's never been a problem or distraction in the locker room, and he plays hard. It's really hard to get absolutely nothing for a player; we're talking D-League status and below here.

According to Josh Robbins, yes, Baby was sometimes a locker room problem. And Hawes was a sweet shooting big on an expiring contract, not a ball hogging flying panda owed a chunk of change next year.

I love this move, as it shows we're committed to playing the young guys and protecting the culture. (According to Robbins, the team didn't believe Baby could take a demotion well).

I hope its Nelson, Oladipo, Afflalo, Harris, Vucevic

Off bench: Price, Lamb, Harkless, Nicholson, Oquinn

I'd be fine with that starting line-up, or I'd be fine with Oladipo as the 6th man with this starting line-up:

PG: Nelson

SG: AA

SF: Harris

PF: KO

C: Vooch

(I really don't want the Prof starting next to Vooch)

I like this line-up a lot … question: would it be feasible to start KO at C and Vooch at PF?

They have played together several times this season, that list must not be comprehensive.
