OtisSmith 4 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 The Houston Magics http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8162534/houston-rockets-reconstruct-trade-proposal-orlando-magic-center-dwight-howard Rockets officials, though, remain steadfast in their belief that, even if the Bulls decline to match on Asik, that they'll be able to absorb at least three of the four aforementioned Magic role players: Richardson, Davis, Duhon and Turkoglu. Sources say that the Rockets would have to send Kevin Martin, Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris and Chandler Parsons to the Magic from their current roster to make the salary-cap math work, as well the draft rights to Jeremy Lamb, Royce White and Terrence Jones, all selected in last month's first round. If this goes through morey is the biggest dumbass gm in NBA history.
NYCmagic 15 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 They're under the CAP by roughly 19m or so before roster penalties. As long as any trade they make leaves them still under the CAP, the salary matching rules don't apply. Does that purposes deal work?

Babir_9 95 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 yes, if we get all these assets we'll be able to move them for future draft picks, we don't need so many PF-Cs...
Crazyhorse81 251 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Since both Orlando and Houston drafted PFs and both teams are now carrying like 50 each, how do they match up talent-wise? Are their PF draftees better than ours? If so, what might be the chances we package some of these guys, with maybe Martin's expiring, and bring in one of those good wings (like Iggy or Gay)? I know it's a pipe dream, but hey, why not??
Drain-O 369 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 The Houston Magics http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8162534/houston-rockets-reconstruct-trade-proposal-orlando-magic-center-dwight-howard If this goes through morey is the biggest dumbass gm in NBA history. Its hard to get superstars in this league when you don't draft them or trade for them. What Miami did was very unique. Morey is swinging for the fences anyway. So they either become a contender or bottom out. At least they won't be stuck in the middle anymore. Plus the only team with real cap space next summer is Dallas. I think Houston is gambling Dwight won't turn down 25 million dollars. Given his agent I doubt he would.

Adam_Magic 56 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 In this crazy twitter world we live in could this mean something.... lol - The Houston Rockets official twitter started following Orlando Magic's Chris Duhon, Jason Richardson, Glenn Davis and Dwight Howard. Seriously if the deal ESPN is reporting is legit then Henny needs to grab it, we will not get better.
TruFan 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2012 Nice, I like it. What's to like about this? No way a roster like this against these super teams even gets us in the playoffs...
