I think a tandem of Alex Martins and Foyle would do good...Martins did do well to get Dwight to opt in and I think side by side with a guy like Foyle they could make legitimate moves for the franchise in general. Plus I think Foyle has a better head on his shoulders...who know? He could surprise us all and be one of the better GMs in the league. Plus he was head of player development! Sure we could use an experienced gm, but that may or may not be happening. Lets just take this with a grain of salt before we jump overboard...I assure you that the magic aren't only thinking about Foyle and if Foyle becomes GM it will be because they can't find someone more qualified.

He's already out. To me, this just means an agreement has already been made and that instead of firing him, the organization will allow him to walk away as if it were under his own terms.

I would be willing to help him in this very difficult decision. I have this very nice cardboard box sitting next to my desk and because I am such a giving person I would be willing to drive that over to his office and help him pack up all of his stuff right now.

The magic have fired people in the past but they seem to prefer the "stepped down" approach just like Weisbrod "Stepped Down" and Matt Guokas got "promoted". Otis saying he's not sure means that he will most likely be "stepping down". SVG will be getting fired because he's not "stepping down".

 

I'm sure Foyle is a nice guy and I have heard him on the radio and seems to be really smart but what is his experience to even be considered as a GM? What diamond in the rough did he find that came out of no where this year to help the Magic win? I don't understand this move. We need an experienced GM with a great track record unless they are hiring one as the president of the team just like Miami did with Riley.

 

Someone mentioned Kevin Pritchard. That would be awesome move for the Magic because he has a history of finding those diamonds in the rough. If it wasn't for injuries to Oden and Roy, the Balzers would have been top contenders for the championship today. He would be my favorite.
