I can't help but feel that we just got fleeced by OKC.

Wow...this guy is amazing. This is the same guy that a couple of years ago lost a 3 point shooting contest to his old coach Mark Jackson. It's absolutely unreal. -

Well...at least they didn't have Levine win by jumping over a Kia... -

GAMETHREAD: Orlando Magic @ Philadelphia 76ers
Tactical Tomato replied to Franchero MVP's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Just got back from the game and WOW, that was one of the sloppiest NBA games I have been to. It was nerve racking to see all the turnovers and horrible offensive possessions (I'm looking at you Toby). Payton was definitely a bright spot in the game even though he got his shot blocked which seemed like a dozen times. WHO the heck is Brandon Davies?! Tony Wroten was the second coming of Big O the way he was playing tonight. It was still a great game in the end though, I got to chat with some of the players since I was close to their bench, even got to talk quickly with Rob Henny who was a real cool dude. It felt so good to win in that arena too, I felt like HHH the way everyone was taunting me up until that final buzzer. I got to strut out of that arena like Vince Mcmahon while the rest of those jerks walked home with their heads down. I can't wait to see how this team grows as the season goes on. -
I think in this case the word "buyout" isn't very accurate. We are just going to cut turk and pay him his partial guarantee. It seems like this is more about getting all the paperwork and whatnot taken care of as he has ZERO incentive to take a buyout lower than his partial guarantee at this point. Now if there is a team willing to sign him right away he might be inclined to do that, but I highly doubt at this point he has enough value to risk losing that guaranteed money. Al on the other still has 2 years left on contract and we might be able to negotiate a buyout so that he can find a team to that he can contribute to this season. I really don't think he is interested in sitting on the bench for a rebuilding team while he still has something left in the tank. I could see him taking a buyout before training camps start so that he has a chance to sign with a contender. Mike Miller just got amnestied by Miami so that could be an option.

I lived in Ocala for a long time, its funny how its one of those cities that no one outside central florida knows about, but you hear abt it in the news quite a bit. I also understand that quite a few "celebrities" ( i use the term lightly) live there as well.

I really hope that pass manu just made isn't going to be the expectation tonight...this game is sloppy enough as it is.

saw this posted on nbc sports: Report: Magic interested in Eric Bledsoe. "Sources say the Magic have a lot of interest in Clippers point guard Eric Bledsoe and would be willing to trade Afflalo for Bledsoe and Caron Butler‘s expiring contract. Would the Clippers bite? Afflalo would give them an established veteran and a big upgrade at shooting guard to pair in the backcourt with Chris Paul." http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/05/29/report-magic-interested-in-eric-bledsoe-thats-a-long-line/

The Official Matt Guokas Appreciation Thread
Tactical Tomato replied to Svanxx's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
There was an article today on Yahoo by Kelly Dwyer pretty much ripping the Magic for not renewing Matty. "The news won’t matter much to fair weather NBA fans, but to those of us that make our living diving into the NBA League Pass package from October until April, desperately trying to keep up with each of the league’s 30 teams, Guokas has been a welcome voice throughout the legions of both blithely unaware and doggedly partisan local NBA color analysts. That isn’t to say I don’t enjoy the great majority of local color guys, as that majority are usually quite good.Guokas was great, though. The best, perhaps. And he won’t be back with the Magic next season, for whatever reason." http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/matt-guokas-let-orlando-magic-television-analyst-don-193815943.html -
Congrats to the Spurs for a job well done. Tony Parker just completely took over this game and put whomever wins the East on notice.
