Secretly Space Jesus 670 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 when you waive a partially guaranteed contract (i'm look at you hedo and duhon) that money does not count against the cap does it? Only the part that is guaranteed counts against the CAP.
Stu Bronsilino 313 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 ****! so even if we waive them we're still out roughly 7.5mill against the 2013-14 cap before we even replace them. ARGH OTIS! that's probably about 1 ryan anderson!

Stu Bronsilino 313 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 because of dwight uncertainty. he is restricted so we can match offers. we might have been able to get him to agree for a bargain, but now he'll probably get a fat offer and we'll have to decide... chosen12 75 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 Refresh my memory please...didnt otis have the option this year to extend ryno? How come he didnt do it? This is a very good question! Would his f/a status make him anymore attractive?
LittlePennyProdigy 2 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 Refresh my memory please...didnt otis have the option this year to extend ryno? How come he didnt do it? Ryno's value comes with his compatibility with Dwight. Without Dwight Ryno is not worth as much, so no need to extend when his value was hard to gauge. WALL-e 3 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 We have to make smart moves. No more crippling trades.
LittlePennyProdigy 2 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 Hedo and Duhon will have more value being traded to teams looking for cap relief if we can deal for ellis, jsmoove or iggy. Plus we will have Jameer and JJ expiring.
DjMase31 30 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 Ahhh yes, no time to bask in the glow of what has just happened, no sir not when we can look at what may happen (counts on fingers) a year from now! Let's cheer on the guys through this offseason AND dream up what could happen next year! Put your junk here! thats what she said
Shock Phantom 263 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 I think J-Rich could be traded somewhat easily and we could stretch BBD. Hedo may also be easier to trade cause of his partially guaranteed contract. Duhon is 1.5 guaranteed also. As long as we are smart we should have a lot of space. LittlePennyProdigy 2 Report post Posted March 16, 2012 Depending on draft position, we should flip Jrich and this years 1st rounder for future 1st rounder. Free up cap space and stock picks to make move for Jsmoove/ellis/iggy.
