Could be the end for a lot of guys

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't mind Josh Smith at PF but I think we need to be careful building around him. I wouldn't want Josh Smith and JR Smith on the same team. Gotta have good leadership to keep Josh focused.

Unless Dwight becomes more of a vocal leader (he's taken steps that way, this season), we're still lacking that take-no-prisoners guy on our team. Yeah, we need someone who's ferocious. Hm...drawing a blank on who, though, that would be available for the pieces we have.

We're counting on Arenas to be that lineup's perimeter scorer? No thanks.

Remove prince, slide iggy to 3, OJ Mayo at 2. I like that better.

We can't completely ignore offense.

Where the F did OJ Mayo come from?

I was stretching reality just by including all those names.

I definitely would forgive Otis a little if he were to somehow pull off a trade for Josh Smith. I think Smith would be a very good fit in our system. Good call Jareth

What do you guys think of this?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3nhoxnk

Orlando gets:

Josh Smith

We get a defensive 4 with athleticism and youth, and one of Dwight's very close friends.

Clippers get:

Marvin Williams

Q

Clippers get a quality 3 and a decent bench piece in Q.

Atlanta gets:

Jameer Nelson

Chris Kaman

Atlanta gets a starting caliber PG who if it doesn't work out will expire along with Hinrich. (You may be saying, but they have Hinrich already. Nelson is a scoring PG who could be valuable especially if Crawford doesn't get resigned. They could also swing Hinrich at the 2 and play both of them at the same time.) The sweetener is they finally get a starter at the 5 so they could move Horford to the 4 where he belongs.

Far fetched I know, but any thoughts?

This isn't really ideal for me only because the prospect of watching Smith chuck up bad jumpers worries me, but our defense would be much improved and having your buddy next to you helps guys decisions.

far fetched, but that would solve a lot of our problems. J-smoove would give us another dimension in our offense at the 3/4 positions. He can create his own offense, can run the floor, finish plays above the rim. He would complement dwight very well (provided he works harder on his jump shot). on defense........jizz in my pants x100

who knows maybe the hawks could entertain it, depending on if the clips are dumb enough to take Williams :P

we'd have to give the clips a pick or two, and cash.

I just wanted to share with you guys this joke "Magic Insider" account: http://twitter.com/#!/Magic_Insider

Says

Magic_Insider Magic Insider

A source told me earlier today, Don't be suprised of a @DwightHoward trade on draft night..

But then says

Magic_Insider Magic Insider

The @Orlando_Magic will be very agressive to acquire a SG. in the open market on draft-night. Magic expresses interest in SG Stephen Jackson

We must be trading Dwight to the Bobcats.

That would be a dream line up for me:

C - Howard

PF - Smoove

SF - Iggy

SG - Juice

PG - Jameer or Arenas

I would prefer Jameer in that instance because there wouldn't be as much pressure on him to create. Both Iggy and Mayo can initiate the offence and let Jameer become a shooter/scorer ala 2009 when Hedo was running the offence.
