Orlando's head coach used only Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu at point guard after halftime, leaving Gilbert Arenas and Chris Duhon benched. The decision forced the usually gunshy Turkoglu to play more aggressively, and though he missed 12 of his 16 shots, he a least ran the offense well and made proper passes.

 

The 6-foot-10 matchup nightmare dished 5 of the Magic's 9 assists, with just 1 turnover, in splitting his 39 minutes between small forward and point guard. If Arenas, who's struggled mightily since coming to Orlando in a midseason trade with the Washington Wizards, is out of the Magic's rotation, you bet your sweet behind that's news. For what it's worth, Arenas shot 1-of-3 from the field, with 1 rebound and 1 turnover, in 6 minutes.

 

Should SVG continue with this?.....Sadly, yes.

Yes. Gilbert Arenas is epicly terrible right now. I'm ok with possibly bringing Duhon every now and then and still use Turk as the point guard.

I don't mind Gilbert being put in to post up bad defenders like Crawford.

Hedo Dwight PnR working wonders right now, so I'll even take Hedo handling the ball over Jameer for the majority of the time.

Hedo : 5 assists 1 turnover, and if his shots start falling, he's gonna be the key to our playoff run.

Any thing that involves Arenas seeing less time on the court is a positive thing for the Orlando Magic. One other thing I'd like to see is SVG smack Hedo upside the head a few times and get him to drive inside and finish. He can do it with either hand and at 6'10 it's very hard to stop. He was horrible from the 3 point line last night but when he actually lowered his head and charged the lane he was successful.

Because the more Hedo plays the point, the less minutes he will have at the SF (he and Jameer have to rest sometime). I don't know, they may need someone who is athletic enough to guard smaller quicker guys. It was just a thought, Doubt it, but I don't care one way or another to tell you the truth I am not a huge Clark fan like some.
