Magic Fan 4 Life 14 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Steve Smith and Rick Kamla just were talking about Phoenix and said that Phoenix might need to "Free Nash" and then Steve Smith said he needs to go to Orlando and Jameer needs to go to Phoenix. This was just on NBA Gametime on NBATV.
Air Gordon 156 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Jameer's not going anywhere.. It would absolutely obliterate team chemistry to ship off Nelson.. Lewis and Carter were expendable because neither were in the role of leader on this team, Jameer and Dwight both are and have been for awhile now and it baffles me that people can't see that.. AddiFB 429 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Steve Nash is not what we need. Shipping out Jameer for Nash isn't even smart. Meer is our mental leader, he's our backbone, our giant midget. He does more for this team than we see on the court, he's the guy who makes the players connect during the summer for example, he does the little things (being little). He's our co-captain with one Dwight Howard. He isn't the best PG out there, but he's more important to this team than stats show. Just ask Stan Van Gundy. A BETTER DJ 12 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 A month ago getting Nash without giving up Meer would have been awesome. Right now Nash needs Orlando a lot more than Orlando needs Nash! That being said I think the moves that Otis has made has given us one of the best starting 5 in the NBA followed by the BEST bench in the NBA. Now all we need is to trade the guys we aren't using for a few bigs.

Ryan the Magic Fan 253 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Another reason. We brought back Hedo for the primary purpose of putting the ball in his hands. So why in the sam hell would we wanna bring in Steve Nash to take it back out Hedo's hands?
Skywise316 211 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 Another reason. We brought back Hedo for the primary purpose of putting the ball in his hands. So why in the sam hell would we wanna bring in Steve Nash to take it back out Hedo's hands? Yes.. before Hedo got here you could at least think about it. But look at Nash & Hedo in Phoenix. It clearly.. doesn't.. work.So either Hedo or Nash would be relegated to being a spot up shooter. Unless Stan got brilliant and let Nash run the show (pick and roll) for the first three quarters and let Hedo be Mr. 4th Quarter. Now that might work. But it's so not worth trading the heart-and-soul of the franchise for a guy that's 37 and being held together by Indian spirit waters (or whatever they do out there in Phoenix) to begin with. If he leaves Phoenix.. he could very fall apart with his back problems within a year ala Larry Bird. Any contender who wants to pick him up, better win the 'Ship THIS year.
Norman 49 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 ok since this is getting bit out of hand. Give me a link last time when someone working on the nba has said something atleast remotely useful to us about our team? It seems like those guys are just trolling there and saying whatever comes to their mind.
