That should say "Do the Orlando Magic..." not "Does the Orlando Magic..." It's tricky, since "Orlando Magic" could be used to refer to either the players making up the team, or it could refer to the franchise as a whole. But given that, in the context of your post, you could only be referring to the players, it should be "Do the Orlando Magic...", since you're using a singular noun that represents multiple people, and grammatical rules for plural nouns apply. 1 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It can go either way with "Magic" since it can be used simply to delineate the team which is singular. "Does the Chicago Bulls" sounds wrong so people use "Do" and use it to define the players who are the Bulls. But with Magic, "Does the Orlando Magic" (referring to team) flows better than Do the Orlando Magic. Try saying "Do the Orlando Magic" and it doesn't sound right.
