Welcome back Rev.

Like other people, I'm getting concerned with the timeline. LBJ is dragging his feet on his decision, so the other dominoes (besides the obvious ones like Dirk & Pierce) are taking a while to fall..

I'm worried the TPE will expire and Otis will lose his leverage.

Otis won't let the TPE expire. He'll either use it to get Boozer or Paul. He would be an awful GM if he let that expire and he isn't awful, so something will get done.

The depressing part is that it will probably get done on July 7th. So we got a couple more days to wait.

Ha! Yeah, I can see the old 5 card draw master (Otis) thinking just this way!!! That $7 mil TPE is what both Utah and NO need right now!!

You know, despite Wince not living up to what we need from him, the guy is really a class act. I will never dislike him for the person he is, just the effort and mental mistakes he brings to the floor with him.

I also wouldn't mind if he stays, just so long as we get another swingman who can create his own shot or somehow get a legit 4 with a 20 footer to move Lewis to the wing.

+1....it sounds as if he is acknowledging that he is in play! Can't help but like the guy though.

Back to CP3, are we able to confirm(if possible) if NO is still negotiatiing with just us or 5 other teams at present?

The camp concludes on Wednesday night.

our TPE expires at midnight on Thursday. this can't be good for us. if otis really is waiting to see where the big time names end up then that won't leave us much time if any to get a deal done before the TPE expires.

I'd much rather see Otis be proactive instead of reactive. If he has an idea on how to make the team better just go ahead and do it, no need to wait and see if LBJ ends up with Wade, Bosh, etc. IMO.

i think otis has to get it done. no matter what. we simply can't wait for the 3 clowns to sign somewhere. the second nola gives the ok, otis needs to pull the trigger. whatever the case, i want either boozer or cp3. i wish we could land both, but i know it's wishful thinking although possible.

that said, it's nice to have you back rev. finally some posts worth reading! keep up the good work.

+1

but according to rev, nola is pissing otis off and i really do think otis wants this deal to fall through. also, was it nola a couple years ago traded chandler or somebody to another team only to have cold feet and call it off at the last second based on technicality? it's no surprise to me that nola keeps wavering, but them calling otis bluff is interesting stuff it true. otis with his poker face!

Likewise. I have absolutely nothing against the guy. He's still one of my favorite players. It wasn't like he purposely wilted against Boston, he just couldn't hit shots (or get calls) to save his life.

Unlike the typical fan, I'm not harping for drastic changes every offseason. A few minor tweaks here and there (like backup PG) is all, though I would really like to see Shard spend more time at SF.
