I thought about that as well and I was wondering why we haven't called N.Y. and offered Marcin Gortat, Ryan Anderson, and the TPE for David Lee and maybe even Sergio Rodriguez in a sign-and-trade deal.

 

We could still keep Pietrus/Bass and keep a solid rotation at both forward positions. Then we could bring back Redick for part of the MLE and sign a solid backup PG like Blake for the rest of it.

 

This would be a very solid roster:

 

C: Dwight Howard/Daniel Orton

PF: David Lee/Brandon Bass/Rashard Lewis

SF: Rashard Lewis/Mickael Pietrus/Stanley Robinson

SG: Vince Carter/J.J. Redick

PG: Jameer Nelson/Steve Blake or Sergio Rodriguez/Jason Williams
