Because hes the easiest to blame and most ppl on here started that trend a while ago, all the way back to the 5 game losing skid or w.e. Its obvoiusly not all on vince but he didnt prove hes a winner this ECF. But then again the whole team was a pretty big no show against Boston. Bostons D got to us. It got to Kobe. It gets to everyone.

 

What do you expect though. He was coming off a 21/5/5 year, where he was an amazing leader for the young crew in NJ, and we all witnessed Maxamillions711's Resolution video.

Hes the new guy, the expectations were huge, and he didnt meet them.

 

So he's expected to get all the blame. He deserves some blame.

 

After all star break he was awesome, and Im sure we all expected him to step it up even further instead of taking a small step back for some reason. Hes afraid of trying, he's Vince Carter.

The team just kind of fell asleep. I think why VC is singled out is because everyone expected him to take over and be the stable, reliable, veteran presence.

 

Instead, he was completely taken out of his game. Most of that was due to the Celtics defense, which I don't think enough people on these boards give credit to, but at least part of it was just disappointment.

 

VC had a great regular season, but faded HARD in the playoffs. But it's a team effort, even losses.
