You don't need Joe Johnson backing up Kobe Bryant is what I'm saying.

Hmmm the Joe Montana / Steve Young example works against your theory

Did you really just use a football comparison to justify your post?

rtillaree, I agree. In fact, I would think the Magic have looked at that, which might be why he is being pushed to the back burner.

And for all of you who are thinking this all sounds like throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks, remember that I am hearing this all third hand. Also, consider that the Magic truly are in the "see what sticks" phase as well.

The Magic need to be working harder on that #2 pick icon_frown.gif Maybe cover Wince in Elmer's Carpenter's glue and throw him at some team's wall... that'll stick, right??

Not only that, but a deeply flawed one.

Howard/Gortat is more like having Ovechkin backing up Sidney Crosby. (Do they play the same position? Are there positions in hockey, or is it a free for all?)

Crosby plays center, Ovechkin plays left wing.

ThuglifeJ would like to see you in his office immediately mister.

ThuglifeJ can't really say anything, apparently Vince has become as untouchable as Shard. Difference being Shard is only untouchable because of his contract, Vince is untouchable because of performance.

Gortat and Pietrus/Bass/Anderson?

They have Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, so I don't know what interest they'd have in Gortat, but that is who he said would be offered.

Yeah, that one doesn't seem to make much sense for Memphis.

Truth be told, who knows how everything shakes out. There will be so much going on this summer that the ideal situation may turn up.

It does seem apparent that the Magic are not satisfied with the current lineup and will look to dramatically improve.

Kobe Bryant is far less often in foul trouble.
