I think Barnes can be our Bruce Bowen. He can get kinda dirty, but it's good to have a wing player with a nasty streak.

So Barnes gets a player option for the second year, interesting. It would be better if that was a team option but I guess you have to give something up if you're signing a guy on the cheap. However, this will only motivate him even more to have a strong season, since he can jump into the marketplace next summer again.
