Does your psychic's crystal ball say anything about a Ray Allen/VC matchup instead of CLee or a Kobe Bryant/VC matchup instead of CLee.

Or how about a healthy Jameer Nelson?

Ryan Anderson instead of perrenial underavhiever Battie?

that's why you play every game, and compete every night...sports are not sure things, sports are like stocks and bonds...every year there is a team or two that fell because of injuries or other nuances of the season...it happens...but don't fool yourself by acting like were whisked into the finals solely by luck...that would be just plain ignorant...

Never said we got to the Finals on luck. We earned it. It won't happen again with the team we have. Unless somehow KG is injured again for the playoffs, but then they still have Sheed.

Look at the Finals, the reason we lost was because Bynum and Gasol teamed up and beat up Dwight and took his lunch money while everyone stood around and watched. If we got a guy like Sheed do you think he would allow that to happen? But instead he's going to help Kendrick Perkins and Kevin Garnett beat up on Dwight.

As great as Dwight is we can't rely on him to do everything in the paint alone, we need a PF or we won't win it all.

i'd say a more contributing factor to our defeats was the double team coming from the guards to strip dwight before he could make a move. Our point guards sucked and the lakers left them open.

They sometimes came when Dwight started the move, and Howard wasn't capable to play through or pass the ball, so they probably didn't have to worry about leaving anybody open, Howard was already trapped.

Good point, provided Jameer stays healthy, but Jameer has not been that much of a threat against the Celtics... yet again Ray will have much trouble guarding Vince... we'll see.

Do you think those advantages overcome losing Hedo and not having enough front court presence, assuming the roster stays as it is now?

Vince Carter isn't going to make up for our lack of toughness inside, either will a healthy Jameer Nelson. Why do people assume Nelson is going to be the same player he was last year anyways, one good half-season and people here treat him as if he's a star.

From Woddy Wommack of Orlando Magic Daily...he attended yesterday's summer league games on Ryan Anderson...

After shaking off some initial rust and a slight case of nerves, Anderson looked exactly like the player Otis Smith and Stan Van Gundy have been raving about since he was acquired as part of the Vince Carter trade on June 25.

Anderson hit the three-ball (2-for-3 in the second half), showed off his ball-handling skills and even took the ball to the hoop with authority.

To be honest, he looked like a young Hedo Turkoglu.

Now I realize that it's summer league and the Magic lost, but the summer has very little to do with wins and losses. The week of exhibition games is all about evaluating talent and finding out just who is ready to step up from bench player to legitimate contributer.

Yeah I agree, God Hates Magic Fans...don't see how Otis can't bring back Gortat unless he has something else up his sleeve as far as "BIGS" go...we are certainly hurting right now in that area...Didn't Otis say this, "honestly, I can spend as much as I want too"...so what's the problem, Otis...match Gortat and get one or two of McDyess, Bass and or Big Baby...

http://www.orlandomagicdaily.com/

So you and God hates Magic fans want to overpay Gortat that doesn't make any sense, and for that reason Otis will not match Dallas's offer to Gortat.

What did Otis say that's right now interested in Big Baby they have someone else in their sights.

Really sounds like Bass.

And everyone else wants to Overpay Bass, when Gortat is better and can play center

Might as well "overpay" a legit center than overpaying for past-their-prime vets with bad knees (Sheed)

Bass would be nice, but as a PF. We still need a real center which makes the idea not to match Dallas' offer stupid because he is better than what's out there AND is young and healthy

If we told Gortat we were trading coaches and SVG going to Dallas there's no way he'd sign there, not even if he got to start
