SpankyRigor 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2007 not to be a downer here but this is how i project it: 6. Miami 7. New Jersey 8. Indiana 8. New York 8. Orlando we'll have a 3-way tie at 8 with indy and ny. now we've been doormats to these 2 teams so we definitely wont get that tie breaker working for us. and the earlier losses from other doormat teams will haunt us AGAIN!!! sad story, but thats the truth.. we're not playoff worthy yet... Mat 4 Report post Posted March 4, 2007 Maybe this discussion is not very optimistic, but is a possibility. i belive orlando can make it, can be on the playoff. We have all to be there. But i want to know.. what all of you think about it...
bhnole 153 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Jersey really shot themselves in the foot losing to Boston and Philly. With the toughest schedule left of anyone, they can't lose games like those. They now go on a five game western road swing which includes all the texas teams. We need to take care of business at home this week to get back in it. Drain-O 369 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Beat Milwaukee today at home.......Also Chicago is playing the Magic after the Heat the night before so hopefully that helps. Yao is now back for Houston though so that game will be very tough. This week....vs. Bucks, vs. Bulls, at Rockets Nets.........at Dallas, at Houston, at SA Knicks.......vs. Sonics, at Washington I really think Miami is in based on their remaining schedule. It is very, very friendly. Hopefully a little winning streak can put some seperation between the Magic men and the other teams.

Nyce_1 311 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Thanks MilitaryMagic! Once again GREAT INFO. I really do feel like Indiana may drop out of race. If they do, I hope it's Us, Miami, and NY in the playoffs. That way, Detroit (our pick) and Chicago (NY's pick) don't get better with better draft picks.
Nyce_1 311 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Games to watch tonight: Atlanta vs. Miami. We need the Hawks to take care of business. I think they have a better team RIGHT NOW than Miami...excluding Shaq. Josh Smith, M. Williams, Lue (Magic Killer) and Childress need to play balls out and take it to them. If the Heat lose and we win, we'll only be back 1.5 games of Miami, tied with NJ, and ahead of NY. We're hoping the picture to look like this after tonight: 7. Miami (9.0) 8. NJ (10.5) 9. Orlando (10.5) 10. NY (11.0) LET'S GO MAGIC!!!! One game at a time.
MilitaryMagic 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Today is going to be a telling day for our PO hopes... If Atlanta takes it to Miami and beats them IN Miami, while the Magic take care of business at home, I feel it will be a very good sign of things to come. If we lose and Miami wins, it's a sign that we're doomed. If we both win (which I expect) then it's a sign that we can't wait for other teams to falter in front of us. If both Orlando AND Miami lose... well.. all that tells us is that the bottom of the playoff bracket in the East is going to be WEAK!!!
Nyce_1 311 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Well, we just won our game and Miami just lost Jason Kapono to a sprained ankle. I never wish an injury upon ANYONE but I hope he takes his time recovering :-) Atlanta is currently down 9 with 9:19 to play in the 4th quarter. Let's go Hawks. Nyce_1 311 Report post Posted March 5, 2007 Here's the latest update: Miami won tonight so now currently in 6th place. Indian moves down to 7th seed. We win and are now in the 8th seed. Jersey is 9th. NY is 10th. we have a .002 lead over NJ. TOO close for my comfort. Games to watch tomorrow: Seattle @ NY NJ @ Dallas Indian @ Sacramento All losses to the obvious would be GREAT!!!
