My "Who they should play like" Magic Breakdown
MilitaryMagic replied to InsideoutO's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Quality thread, thanks for the write-ups InsideoutO. This coming season will be interesting, a transition season. It's up to SVG to make some tweaks to his strategy, as it is apparent the Shard-as-4 strategy requires a better shooting guard than we have had on this team. Not to knock JJ, or even VC, but neither of them present the real threat we need to isolate and score against their defender. Without that threat Shard can't do anything special from the 4 and his advantage as a 3 goes to waste. Like you say in the OP, if we resign JJ both he and Anderson should start. VC is out of the picture IMO. So seeing how much potential those two have will be the biggest key to the season. Think about it - we moved Courtney Lee and now we have a spot for JJ to start (in theory) and a system-fitting PF to start. As a side note, that trade wasn't bad no matter what VC does. It's not like Courtney Lee is lighting it up in Jersey. -
We are now now really starting to feel Shard"s bad contract.

This thread is dumb. Why? Where would we be without Rashard Lewis? What if we had signed VINCE CARTER that offseason instead? I didn't have to read 70 posts to form my opinion. -
Redick offered 3 years $20m from bulls

He is seemingly afraid to drive to the hole. That's b/c he always breaks his wrist when he drives to the basket. The same wrist that swishes the trey. It's sad. -

If we let Redick walk then we can't trade VC unless we get another SG back. -
Magic GM thought LeBron was 'more of a competitor'

I love the underhanded comments about LeBron in relation to Kobe. You know I might agree but when you've been an employee for 7 years, you owe the management and the guy who's been signing your paycheck 5 minutes of your time to sit down and tell them you're moving on. Do it face-to-face, not over TV. That's the professional way to do it no matter where you work...of course unless your fired! LOL A lot of younger people I've talked to today see nothing wrong with how this was handled. It's a huge difference in generations. It was handled poorly. On a last note when Gilbert said the Cavs will win a championship before the Heat and Lebron do, he was saying, the Cavs aren't winning one and neither will Lebron and the Heat. I agree. The whole situation was toxic on both sides. I definitely wouldn't defend LeBron here. -
Simmer down MagicAtic, I didn't really want you to troll my thread by putting down Dwight anyway.

Insider info: Granger, Harrington still alive, CP3 talks dead, R. Brewer, and more!
MilitaryMagic replied to TragicFan's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
cough cough -
After watching this whole LeBron thing play out, it feels good knowing our best player isn't such a self-serving person. I can't imagine Dwight not only leaving but throwing it in our face at a press conference held in Connecticut. Televised on ESPN. After an hour-long narcissistic LeBrelation. Big ups to our big man. Stay classy, Dwight.
