Guess it'll be game 6 without him. Ugh.

If Brad Miller didn't get suspended and Howard does, the NBA is a joke.

This didn't even result into an altercation for the most part. Both players just walked away after it happened and they called a tech on Howard. What more do they want to? To influence a series by a silly call? They already did that in the Suns-Spurs series a while back.

I disagree. Big Baby flopped.

+1 Big flop by big baby

Do you ever run out of ways to say something against the Magic?

I've never been in favor of taking the toughness out of NBA ball. Stern has worked hard on it over the years and is succeeding. Suspensions (especially playoff suspensions) should be reserved for extreme situations.

based on todays nba standards it should be a suspension. thats it. i dont blame dwight for it. he deals with more crap from other teams than any other nba player. it was a frustration move. objectively its a suspension.

do you ever run out of ways to look at things like a homer?

If Dwight isn't suspended he's gonna get so much heat in Philly. I mean, he's already being booed every time he touches the ball as it is now (for some unknown reason), so imagine what it'll be like if he doesn't get suspended?

lol

I think Gortat/Battie/Foyle should hold the fort down as long as Shard and Hedo can have decent nights.

I'm sorry but people on this board are such homer's. If someone did that to one of our players we would be calling for his head. He basically threw a punch, he will be suspended have no doubt about that. The good news is we're 2-1 without him. The bad news is Lee probably won't play either and our bench is not deep enough to win unless Shard drops 40. Defensively is where we will really be in trouble as Philly will go to the hoop and quit launching jumpshots, plus their at home. This is not like the SUNS vs Spurs and people saying that it is are out of the loop. As far as the Rondo play I think it should've been a flagrant which maybe the Bull might have won. But, a suspension no. Miller had the ball was going to the basket and it was an open hand foul which could be argued was going after the ball. Dalembert didn't even have the ball.It was after a made basket.

I disagree...how about you settle your problems without "help" from the league and go and fight your own battle...such as, call up dwight, and go have a little boxing match in the backyard. Fine him, but don't suspend him, this is intensity that basketball needs. You can almost guarantee that if dwight doesnt get suspended, he won't do that again. He is that kind of person. There is no reason to alter the way a series goes because somebody elbowed a guy in the face, out of anger due to excessive pushing from dalembert. But the league doesn't realize this. A suspension in the regular season would be appropriate, but you dont alter a playoff series, unless there is an ALTERCATION between the two players on the court. There was none.

Then some people say he should be suspended.

Are FINES not an option here? A middle ground???

Why are we skipping straight to suspensions?!?

The first thing I thought of was a fine, but the way the NBA has been recently. If the action is worthy of punishment, it has been straight to suspensions. I think it's Dileo lobbying for it that will get it done.lol

If stern wants seven, he will do this, Which is crap becasue I am sure Dalembart was doing something dirty to initiate the play, and plus, Dwight didnt even connect, no way, this is the playoffs fine him, let them play. Dont influence a series on a flimsy elbow. But this is the NBA they will no doubt screw the Magic in essense of the "Rules". Wasnt David Stern suppose to be at this game?>

LOL

Listen, he essentially struck Dalembert in the face, and it was certainly not inadvertent.

All I'm saying is that if we're judging this play by TODAY's NBA standards, then that's a suspension.
