We get more Athletic and Miller could be just as good a facilitator as Hedo. McCants would be the PG scorer off the bench and Carney would be a more athletic wing player than Cook.

You do realize Carney is a SG, MAYBE a SF, while Cook is a PF (kind of).

McCants can play the pg position, he is a good ball handler and a scorer.

A huge deal that would and could be beneficial for all teams involved.

 

Portland gets a vet PF to back up LA and Oden and they get a SF that is putting up decent numbers in NY. And maybe can find a place to use JJ also.

 

Orlando gets what it needs. A great player despite his attitude in Marbury. Lee would be great beside D12 and Frye can work in there also to give us some depth. I don't really want to put Gortat in the deal but whatever. Plus we get Freeland from Portland and mark my words he's going to be really good.

 

And NY makes out. Hedo would love the system in NY. Sergio can go there and play back-up point. They get out of Starbury's contract. They get Batum who has good upside and Cook is the style of forward MikeyD likes. Plus, 4 out of the 6 players they are getting are going to expire and Hedo is going to opt out so they'll only be stuck with 1 contract after this year.

 

 

Great deal, and it makes us better, but more thin at the 3.

Trade Hedo, because he is either going to leave us with nothing or Otis will sign him for too much as is his way.

 

We get Miller a facilitator, McCants a scorer off the bench, and Madsen a banger. This trade would work for both teams, giving Minnesota cap space at the end of the year or keeping Hedo if they choose.
