    Magic to re-sign Jason Williams

I have been put down over and over for having a different opinion. But I am not angry, just disappointed especially in someone who is supposed to be a moderator. Just what does Moderator mean. Maybe you should look up the definition and enlighten us. Or just realize that your opinion is not the end all to be all. What I don't get is people who have never played pro sports feel that their opinions are somehow more intelligent than those that have. By the way I enjoy arguing with people if you haven't noticed, but I don't try and put people down unless they do it to me. Also I participated in this discussion about the validity of signing an old washed up has been for the third pg position instead of acquiring a young talent that hasn't blossomed yet. I still feel that youth should be served in this position.

Learn exactly what that you are more intelligent than me. No I am not going to devolve. Sorry. Golf is the hardest game any body has ever tried to master. Just ask Jordan, Smoltz, Barkley, or any professional sports playing human. I take that you all suck at it and that is the reason you cant understand. Ha f-ing ha. Go back to playing your XBox or Playstation and dominate your buddies and feel worthy.

Yes Iverson sucked or did not try in practice and did not deserve playing time. Your point is well taken. He won how many MVP's did he get. Oh yeah more than anybody who ever played for the Magic. Believe it or not there are players who are not great in practice that are great in the game. And yes it is the job of the coach to intuitively sense who is the best players for the game.

Really high school is the same. NNNOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!! And I am not talking about first string players versus scrubs. I am talking about players of equal talent. Some will excel in practice while basically choking in the game. While others are not focused in practice and will play great in the game. Why is this so hard for you all to understand? Geez

I am talking about the difference between playing in a sport professionally and practice for that sport. The difference is immeasurable.

He got playing time because IMO that Ryan can shoot the 3 like Shard. He was replacing Shard and Stan plays the stretch 4. That is the only reason for starting Ryan over Bass. Nice try though. As for proving yourself in practice, in only shows your good at practice. Playing in a real game is a total different animal so to speak. Playing professional golf for over 25 years has taught me the difference. Since when as any of you played any sport professionally? I'd like to know. Or all all of you like Mike Lupica a wanna be that never played anything professionally.

The ones in bold we traded before they even played for us or were traded very early in their careers They were not developed by the Magic. Your point was beyond ignorant, Thanks anyway.

This proves my point. Ryan deserved it because he played better in the games during the regular season. Bass in much less time on the court did not get the chance to gel with his teammates and learn where he needed to be in practice.

So did Ryan Anderson excel in practice? Is that why he got playing time over Bass in the playoffs? Well until he blew chunks and Bass replaced him and did a descent job atleast until he was lost of defensive assignments and sometimes on the low block on offense. But his limited playing time in the regular season had nothing to do with that, right in your esteemed opinion. Hee, hee.

I am not confusing anything. Playing in a real game that counts is where you find out if a player is good or not. NOT in practice. I have seen many young guys on this team be wasted on the end of the bench, never seeing playing time. A few have had great spurts in games just to go back to the end of the bench for weeks at a time. JJ comes to mind a few years ago. How fast would his development been if he would have gotten to play more earlier in his career. Another good young player had some great partial games and then never seen the floor again. Litterial Green. Once you destroy a young persons confidence with this type of coaching then it is very hard for that player to regain it and sometimes it never happens.

Practice, we talking bout Practice. Really, I disagree. You can be a phenom in practice and suck in games, and also vice versa. Some people excel under pressure some do not.

Bjork, REALLY??? WoW Does listening to that make your opinion matter?

Trying and doing are two different things. I am saying that they don't develop young players except for the rare occasion. Not that they don't try. Meaningful minutes in a game is where players develop not just in practice.

But Oh I forgot the Magic don't develop young players unless they are a top five pick in the draft. Reply by WPMagic: Gortat and JJ disagree.
