    Would Anyone Take Vince Carter?

This is not a PANIC trade. This is a smart trade.

One inlet pipe fills the pool in 4 hours, the other in 6 hours. The outlet pipe empties the pool in 5 hours. Once the outlet pipe was left open when the pool was being filled. In how many hours was the pool full? As usual you don't have enough info for accurate analysis, however, I am sure you will make some pathetic claim to have the answer any way. As usual.
  3. quote: Originally posted by ALPHA OMEGA theEND forOtis:We have seen these series for a while and we have to definately sit down and put our players aside and question the lack of faith that Van Gundy has. Just go back to the series where Howard questioned "Stan's inability to stick to a succesful lineup". This comment was so evident through all these series, specially after a must win game last night. One thing is having the ability to coach, and devise plans, which I must admit that Stan does it better than most. Another thing is to have a lack of faith in some of your players. The move to bring Jameer Nelson to these series was not bad in my opinion, and nor should it be used as an scapegoat to bash Stan; however, sticking to Jameer for the last minutes of the 3rd quarter, all of 4th and overtime is definately a big coaching mistake. Why was this a mistake? The simple fact that Jameer Nelson still shows a lack of improvement to not move that ball quickly, and the fact that Jameer Nelson was consistently burning off the clock with his 50 dribbles. That ball was moving so much better with Rafer; in addition, Rafer defended Fisher pretty well all series. I bet you that if Rafer was guarding Fisher then we would have not seen those 3 pointers go off. In the end we can definately point the fingers at other players as well for not stepping up in the limelight. This is their show and they will gain massive accolades for winning, and and the finger when they lose. Nevertheless, Stan Refused to foul in a play where most coaches would foul, and he kept Rafer out of the game when he was obviously defending Fisher well for most of the series. This is unacceptable in my ways from a coaching stand point and should never be repeated again for the sake of his job. Now we know why he is the "master of panic". Are you Shaq? I knew it, you are Shaq arn't you?

But only after he was fouled. +1 WP, I was watching this game with several friends, and when Mark Jackson said his little spheil before commercial "That was not a foul, and there is the double dribble right there." I rewinded it several times to show my laker fan "so called friends," two hands on peitrus as he picks the ball up initially. You can even see the wave of energy fluctuate on his skin where he is slapped, in slow mo. There is no way to argue it was not a foul. I did however argue with my friends that a clear path foul should have been in order on that play since it was 2 on 1 and farmar was behind peitrus.

Redick in crunch time while Jameer sits?(Sentinel)

Has Jameer made a shot from beyond 12 feet yet? He is looking for his shot much less than often, I see Jameer making great passes, but the pick and roll where he has been automatic all year has yet to be attempted, or at least as a shot for Jameer. Does he have his shot back??? That said I still want to see Jameer in the game. As far as criticising JJ's play though it is tough, he actually burried a clutch 3 from the corner, and played ok defense. One thing I will say though is he, JJ could have and should have scored at least 12 last night they wern't guarding him when he got dribble penetration, and he actually was able to penetrate with some consistency. That 8 to 10 foot pull up is there for him, and will hopefully be used in games to come, why is he so scared to shoot the ball?
  6. quote: Originally posted by ma:Kobe grabbed Lee, his shirt came off his shorts, and then Gasol grabs the net and the rim as Lee's shot is on the backboard. All textbook examples for a whistle. (The ESPN guys played this down by the way saying it didn't really affect the shot so no whistle is good call???) Magic got some favorible calls, but WAY less than what the Lakers got. Sure the refs had a bad game, and maybe the lakers got more 4th & OT freethrows, but they called the game crappy all around. In the first quarter Dwight blocked a shot of Gasol with his hand INSIDE the RIM???????? ***???????????? So we benefited from some real crap too. The tic tac's on Peitrus all game were the real game changer though. Derick fisher got away with an elbow above the shoulder on Dwight, actually Dwight got called for a moving screen on this play while definately set. Just all round bad reffing, but consistently bad this series, SO Far anyways.

Chances of still winning the series..

quote: Originally posted by Domination: quote: I actually think we have a chance of still winning the series. Sure, being down 2-0 sucks, but the next three are at home. We win those 3, we have all the momentum going in to their building. Look, I don't even count game1 as a loss. We didn't even show up. We lossed game2 without playing great ball and still had a chance to win it. I feel we can keep adjusting and get better. -Charlius- Charlius, your take might work..IF you believe you saw the best Laker team tonight? They were not even CLOSE!!! They weren't as bad as they have been, but they were not close. The Magic gave their best effort on the road and came out on the losing end. Do you really believe the Magic have the talent to beat the Lakers THREE straight games? SERIOUSLY???? Hey, way to talk without thinking first, probably pretty common for someone selfproclaimed as domination. If you think that was the magic's best shot then you haven't seen us all season, that was two of our worst games, except for shard last night. Oh yea, and since you are obviously so new to playoff, and basketball in general, it is very common for the home team to win. Start talking when the Lakers come here and leave with W's. We have proven last night that we can go to LA in the Finals and win without our best game. You should be scared, but arn't smart enough.
  8. Well, good game, why not overtime?
  9. No, what we needed to do last night was hit our many wide open shots. 29% worst all season. It was not Laker D, or meer, or anything else, well, maybe nerves, we just missed wide open shots.

Derrick Rose involved in NCAA scandal

Don't you mean 4 biggest stars, Shard came straight out of highschool too.
  11. quote: final my angst and anger are directed to Aldridge, not you. My answer is yes, I do believe there is an effort, to have this happen, or at the very least make series go as long as possible. And I don' t see any difference between the league official who fixes a game or the "Quote" rouge official, They both corrupt integrity of the game, which IS what is good for the game. Obviously if the league wanted this LA Cavs matchup and only this they could have it already. I also believe there is an effort not to destroy all credability to do this. So to answer the author's statement about the 3-1 series lead, the Magic are actually crushing the Cavs, and despite the benefit of many rouge whistles aiding Lebron, the magic keep fighting.

The best article Bianchi ever wrote...

Howards jersey sales in not even in the top 15. Bianchi needs to get real. He's a joke. His article today questioning Shaq's presence was as despictable as anything the Sentinel puts out. That rag should go to 100% syndication. Didn't Dwight Howard lead the league in Allstar votes?

You asked why no one had responded to your post, and I gave you the reason why I thought that was the case. Don't ask the question if you can't handle the answer. . You call it a conspiracy, same thing the guy threw the games, which is rock solid proof that it is possible, and not a far-fetched, ailens are taking over the world conspiracy. First off If you think I owe you an appology for flaming, then I am sorry. The nature of this article is offensive to someone who dosen't just except every statement given to them as truth. You know the truth? and tell me why is a guy who fixes basketball games not relevant in a thread about fixing Bball games. I'll tell you why it is. It proves it is possible, it proves it has been done and recently. It proves that this is not some far-fetched unimaganitive, Podunk, nutbag idea, because it did, absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt happen. Tell me why Donaghy fixed the games. Tell me how you know he worked alone. Tell me how you know no one else is. You don't know the truth, only quick wit cliche' and stupid catch phrases.

  15. quote: Originally posted by Natmayo: quote: Originally posted by Mr Charisma: quote: Originally posted by magicfreak#1:What? No one wants to talk about Tim Donaghy? Sweep it under the rug. Believe only what you are told. That was only one rouge ref, and an isolated instance. BS. That is iron clad proof NBA Games are or at least have been rigged. Still scared to talk about it? Still scared to use your brain for something other than following the herd? Still scared some YES MAN who will do anything to keep his salary is going to call you an unimaginative nutbag. No, this is propaganda at it's best, Who wants to willingly lable themself a "Podunk." This guy is a wittless jerk. Who has his job because he says and does exactly what he is told all day every day. As for the LA, Cleveland Finals, rigging, I actually don't believe that it is AS rigged as WWF, but I will say that I have watched the Playoffs and the officiating has been very very very poor. And there is no way for me to rule out underhanded actions, especially since the Cavs have gained from so many grossly misblown whistles, especially not with any of this so called evidence provided in this article. No one is talking about it because it doesn't relate to the current discussion. The discussion is relevant to a league conspiracy. Donaghy, as you state, was a witless jerk; not part of some great conspiracy. No one is questioning the possibility that a referee(s) can have his own agenda and can fix games. That has nothing to do with a league-sanctioned conspiracy. magicfreak, where in that statement did he call you a nutjob or a podunk??? He just thought your point wasn't relevant to this discussion. I personally believe that the Donaghy incident was exactly that, an unfortunate incident and he was caught and punished. I dont think its a league wide conspiricy, I think its an isolated incident until proven otherwise. But I dont think anyone is in here hammering you or calling you names or even not letting you post your opinions. read the article, these are Aldridge's words. And this is how these type arguements go. A man proven guilty of fixing games isn't relevant to a conversation about fixing games, but even calling this a conspiracy throws a certain negative connatation to this point of view before the conversation happens. Fact is Tim Donaghy fixed basketball games. Opinion of many officiating has been horrid this season especially in the playoffs. But still Fact is Tim Donaghy fixed basketball games and it is not far-fetched to believe he was not the only one.

Science has not proven that psychics don't exist. It's impossible to prove something like that. The burden of proof lies on the people that believe it does exist, and it certainly has never been proven to exist. Secondly, the past has no effect on the probability of future events in cases where an event in the past doesn't render a future event impossible. In other words, when talking about something like a basketball game, what happened in past games has no bearing on future games. A prime example of this is game 7 of the Boston series. There is a 1000000 dollar reward for any one who can prove credibility, but you are right I should reword this statement, there has never been a proven Psychic. For the sake of this conversation though, I tell you what, you find me a proven Psychic, and I already found you a proven guilty Tim Donaghy game fixer. OK

Denver questions the integrity of the league:

I'll jump in here, also today we have better camera angles, or more of them, and digital play back with digital zoom, where the fan can more easily see blown calls, and also we have youtube type media outlets that arn't biased and only show clips that back up refs calls. thats why technology needs to be implemented to keep the sport to date.
  18. This how it always is, Call me podunk, call me nutbag, but when it comes down to conversation, rational conversation with evidence based statements of proof, where are you cows at now??? Where are you???

Denver questions the integrity of the league:

Hey Barry, What has the NBA done since Tim Donaghy to ensure this does not happen again? Did they fire every one who might possibly be implicated? Did the even fire one other person? Do you actually think it is EVEN possible for one single rouge ref to throw numerous games?

Look at what Dancing Barry is doing here. He throws a insult at you if you don't believe the same as he does, But provides absolutely no evidence to back up his statement, and actually provides evidence in Tim Donaghy that proves the opposite of what he is saying. Tim Donaghy definately did fix Games. Where is the proof that no one else has is or will? There is only proof that games have been fixed in the recent past. Hey what's the best way to judge the future? This Question is directed to everybody but Dancing Barry who is obviously a psychic, even though they don't exist, and science HAS proven that. What if Cleveland was doing that, would we still be questioning the integrity of the league?? Or would we be saying, "well ****, the Cavs shot lights out and we just couldn't handle them." I don't understand your position on this. If CLE was playing as well as we are, they wouldn't be in need of help from the refs. And if we weren't shooting dispoportionately high compared to our season average (even as perhaps the most prolific 3pt shooting team in NBA history), CLE wouldn't need those calls to make the games seem competitive. Basically, we are barely winning despite the officiating discrepancies not based upon simply being the best team, but being the best team by far. And if it weren't for 1-3 timely calls in the Cavs favor EVERY game, this series is a sweep with at least 3 blowouts. Completely agree with Smack here. Blow outs, Orlando Best team By far.
  22. Wasn't that Aldridge guy one of the angry mob, out with fire and pitch fork for Dwight, and deforming Dwight's character with lies of howards "Brutish, overly physical Style of Play" after the Sammy incident. Which if you actually watched those games you saw Sammy Foul Dwight continuously for about ten minutes before that incident. And it actually looked worse than it was when you Zoom in and only show a one second clip in slow motion for ten seconds.
  23. I'll tell you what I remember about Tim donaghy. He was guilty, and turned himself in for betting on and effecting the outcome of basketball games. NBA does not publicly launch investigation of all other refs, due to proven breach of integrity, instead claims in public statement days after the story is public, which is too short of a time to thouroughly inspect or evaluate the wrong doing of the rest of the refs, "This is an isolated incident of a rouge ref." That's it, sweep the rest under the rug. That's good enough for you????
  24. Hey, tell me any ways, how does a man who riggs basketball games not relate to a conversation about rigging basketball games, there geinius?
  25. Hey Charisma, Moooooo! Moooooo! you probably understand cows when they talk.
