I wouldn't, I like what Camby brings to a team but you can't play Dwight and Camby at the same time. Portland has had problems playing Camby and Aldridge together because the other team clogs the paint which limits Aldridge's effectiveness.

I think all of us would trade Jameer for the right piece. I'm not sure I'd do a deal for Chris Paul anymore (knee issues and it would take more than just Nelson to get a deal done; I would do a hypothetical Nelson-Paul swap though). I'd trade for Russell Westbrook, Rose, Williams (PG's) Wade, Kobe, Eric Gordon, Kevin Martin, (SG's) Durant, Lebron, Granger, Gay, (SF's) Dirk, Millsap, Blake Griffin, Amar'e (PF's) I'd be on the fence with Wes Matthews and Kevin Love. None of these deals are going to happen though. It's not worth losing what Jameer brings to this team for a player that shouldn't play if Dwight can stay on the court.

I think Shard got a pass because he was a giant cap Albatross that everyone figured was going nowhere. Good playoff series gave everyone an attitude like "well he's not playing well, but he's a designated shooter that has some value in the playoffs and teams have to defend him." The contract talk was a conversation that has been beaten to death. Complaining about Shards production vs his cap cost was one sided. He was never going to be able to live up to those salary numbers. Complaining about Shards production was like complaining that the sky isn't a good shade of blue. Ok, you can make your point, but there's nothing we can do that can change the situation. Shard was always the good soldier that played out of position to benefit the team. It's hard to come down on a guy like that.

All we need is a big backup guy who wont hurt us defensively while dwight rests. Anyone who want's to trade JJ, Nelson, or anyone else in our current rotation is only considering making a trade for the biggest name possible rather than understanding what our team's actual weakness really is. I'm very disappointed to call some of you my peers. For people who spend their entire time watching the Magic play over several years you still have no idea how our team operates. You still don't understand how important Nelson and JJ are to our locker room and our rotation (and i'm not just talking about Dwight). You fail to understand player roles. You fail to consider context of how bringing in a heavy minute guy at PF won't just cost us whomever we dish out in a trade, it will also limit the effectiveness of Bass and Anderson (who are both playing well right now; Bass has been awesome). You have no idea how to maximize value of players. You always want to destroy our strengths to overhaul our weaknesses only to create more weaknesses. I feel like I'm partly to blame. As a moderator I'm capable of streamlining content that can help educate the board and make it more than what it currently is (posters who go from one trade to the next, look through team's rosters until they find a name they recognize, then make several posts about how we should trade 1/2 of our rotation for this player). I feel like I should be able to prod the more knowledgeable posters into creating higher level content. Maybe I'll try to do that more in the new year. Seriously though, the basketball IQ of this board has dropped significantly and we are all to blame.

JJ is an important piece of our team. He's going to be a weapon in the playoffs. We shouldn't trade him just because we freak out about our backup center position. There's always free agent bigs we can pick up later.

I like foster, but he's too expensive. It would take Duhon and Richardson to bring him in. We cant be throwing around assets so flippantly When some vet big will probably be available as a FA in Feb.

Arenas is a guy who can catch fire. When he gets in the game he's gonna take shots. If he's not hitting them then he should play less. His poor shooting hasn't hurt us yet.

Something to keep in mind. We have the second largest salary in the NBA. We pay more for our team than the Thunder and the Kings combined. Anyone coming in that doesn't make the vet min will probably require salary going out.

Why don't we just sign Earl Barron? Then we can trade Duhon or Jwill later so we aren't forced to make a Bogans-Lue deal.
