D-BoFats 5 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 Let's look at the positive things Otis has done... - Indirectly drafted Dwight Howard - Indirectly stole Jameer Nelson* - Indirectly signed Hedo Turkoglu* - Traded Steve "The Cancer" Francis for Ariza and cap space - Traded Kelvin frickin' Cato for Darko and Carlos - Didn't overpay DeShawn Stevenson - Drafted Redick * Looked like better moves last season (Thanks B. Hill)

Otis to me deserves his job unlike B.Hill. Toronto has done wonders with there new GM. But he swore that he wouldn't let go the head coach that has put that team together its a shame if they do. We should pick him up if they decide to let him go or if Grant retires this year to give him the Coaching job. Just a good thought.

Not saying I agree or disagree with this idea, but I like to see fresh points of view around here.

The Solution 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 quote: Originally posted by D-BoFats: quote: Originally posted by The Solution:Maybe Otis needs authority. Do we know what authority he has? That's the big mystery. A lot of people seem to like Otis and what he's done here, but how come he continues to support B. Hill? There are 3 possibilities... 1.) He thinks Brian has done a good job (NO) 2.) He doesn't want the coach to feel insecure and risk losing a playoff spot (POSSIBLY) 3.) The Devos family has him by the nuts(PROBABLY) (COMMENTS WITH CAPIAL LETTERS ENCLOSED BY BRACKETS)
The Solution 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 Wouldn't it be a good idea for Otis to proclaim what his vision is for this team? Bible says-"People perish for lack of vision"
FENDI 4 Report post Posted April 9, 2007 I'm surprised that you;d like to have Otis fired. He's done a remarkable job thus far.

Would you have liked to have had the results of Toronto's GM? sorry but comapring a GM of the year awardee to Otis is basically going way overboard. Otis is just in his 1st year as a GM. If you are say acquiring Darko, Carlos and Ariza is a bad move, I don't know what team you've been watching. These are basically the moves Otis speaheaded. Drafting Fran is not one of his ideas, Dave, his co-GM at that time, was handling the drafting for this team, thus should get the blame, IMO. Hiring Brian was not Otis' decision but from the higher up's. first and foremost, do you like the core of this this team?
